This year help will arrive not in the form of the angel Gabriel but, live from his very own kitchen, Gordon Ramsay will guide you through Christmas dinner step-by-step, sharing his favourite tips on how to get the perfect Christmas dinner in front of your family.
There will also be huge helpings of cheeky festive entertainment and celebrity guests for those who are eating, rather than cooking.

It’s been reported today that BFFs David Beckham and TV chef Gordon Ramsay are to open a restaurant together.
Of the new eatery, which will apparently be in London, David told The Sun of his business deal with Gordon, “We’ve got something in the pipeline. We are obviously good friends and we are excited about a project that could happen pretty soon.”
He added, “It will be a business thing but owning a restaurant is going to be fun as well.”
And of learning to cook himself, David recently said, “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve always loved cooking.
“I’d love to cook for Gordon and I definitely will one day.”
The enterprise will doubtless be one that Gordon hopes goes better than his former working relationship with his father-in-law Chris Hutcheson, which ended in the courts and caused a massive rift within the family… Read more & comment »

Tonight was the final night of Channel 4′s brilliant week-long TV event, Hotel GB. The reality-style programme followed a glittering host of C4′s finest and funniest talent running a hotel alongside a rag-tag bunch of the unemployed and the seemingly unemployable.
As I mentioned at the start of the week, there was a competitive element to Hotel GB: the teams, led by Gordon Ramsay and Mary Portas were competing to see who could earn the most in revenue and tips. And with some high-rolling celebrities passing through the hotel’s doors – I’m thinking of David Gest throwing around fifty quid notes like confetti – the earning potential for the teams was better than your average 2 star airport layover hotel.
So, who won the challenge? Well, let’s just say that the viewers of Hotel GB are the winners. If you’re unemployed, you’ll have seen people in a similar, seemingly hopeless position, score a job and maybe it’ll be an inspiration to start again. We’ve certainly gained an appreciation that there are people in this country who want to work, but who haven’t had the opportunity, or anyone willing to take a chance on them. Maybe more employers will consider setting up apprenticeship schemes to train people and get them into work. Anyway, we’ll talk about the winners after a fast and furious recap of the final night at Hotel GB…

The 14 trainees who have worked on Hotel GB have all been offered jobs as a result of their experiences on the series this week.
In Channel 4’s Hotel GB Gordon Ramsay and Mary Portas took over a hotel staffing it with unemployed people and raising money for the Prince’s Trust and Springboard charities.
All week employers from top UK firms across the hotel and leisure industry have visited the hotel undercover, posing as customers to test the trainees’ skills and see who impressed the most.

Kind of hijacking Carlsberg’s famous saying, Hotel GB got off the ground tonight with the announcer saying “If Channel 4 did hotels…”
And that’s kind of what Hotel GB is from the ground up – a brilliant initiative by Channel 4 to parade out their best known stars in an ingenious project that recalls the multi-camera reality angle of Big Brother with a good cause – that of inspiring unemployed people to get off their arses and get into work.

If Channel 4 ran a hotel…
Gordon Ramsay would run the restaurant and Mary Portas would take charge of the rooms. Gok Wan would be running the bar; Phil Spencer would be Maitre d’; and Dr Christian Jessen would head up the gym. Kim Woodburn would take on Head of Housekeeping, Kirstie Allsopp would dazzle as Concierge and Katie Piper run the Spa. And Hilary Devey might even pop in for a surprise appearance…

At 9pm tonight on Channel 4, brand new show Hotel GB debuts, which features a host of big name celebs taking over the running of an hotel in an attempt to help the unemployed trainees they’ve hired to staff it find real jobs, and to raise money for charity.
The staff of the hotel have been split into two teams; one is headed by fiery (but fit) TV chef Gordon Ramsay, the other by the equally fiery (but frankly not fit) pro-shopper Mary Portas.
Under their command, the trainees will be expected to work across all aspects of the hotel, from cleaning rooms to serving in the restaurant to tackling guests’ complaints.
Joining Gordon and Mary in the attempt to raise money and land jobs for the trainees will be Gok Wan who runs the Bar and events, Phil Spencer who’s Maitre d’, Dr Christian Jessen who heads up the gym and Kim Woodburn who is the Head of Housekeeping,
Kirstie Allsopp works as the Concierge while the fabulous Katie Piper runs the Spa. And apparently, even Dragons’ Den star Hilary Devey is due to put in an appearance… Read more & comment »

Gordon Ramsay is of course first and foremost a chef, but as he travels the world presenting his cookery shows, he’s also a frequent visitor to hotels, which has prompted him to star in new series, Hotel Hell, which could also have been subtitled, The Hotel Inspector: Tourette’s Edition, thanks to Gordon’s trademark line in expletives.
However, just as it says on the tin, the hotels that Gordon visits during the series – which is set to air in the US in August – do indeed prove to be hell; expensive hell at that quite often.
We have a sneak peek clip of what’s to come in the show after the jump, but first, Gordon has told TV Biz that by far the worst rooms he’s encountered while making the series have been honeymoon suites, many of which he says a “full of body fluids.”
He made his remarks having used a black-light wand that makes body fluids fluoresce, and what he found is really rather sickening… Read more & comment »

Gordon Ramsay’s current Channel 4 show features the TV chef teaching male prisoners in HMP Brixton how to cook, and it’s been reported today that Gordon is set to share the wisdom with ladies who are at Her Majesty’s pleasure in a new series this year.
The debut of Gordon Behind Bars landed C4 with an impressive 2.9million viewers when it premiered on Tuesday, and the channel’s bosses are hoping the new series in a womens’ prison will prove to be a similar draw to viewers.
While speaking to the Sun’s TV Biz, Gordon said, “There is an idea about going into a ladies’ prison which will be interesting.
“And I would definitely go back to Brixton…” Read more & comment »

It’s been reported today that telly chef Gordon Ramsay has signed a new deal with Channel 4 which will see him present at least three new shows this year for the broadcaster.
TV Biz reports that the deal is worth £1million to Gordon, though he has apparently been told that another series of The F Word isn’t on the cards.
A friend of Gordon’s told the paper, “Gordon is excited to be signing for another year.
“Gordon’s on great form and thrilled to be back on Channel 4 next week.”
And a Channel 4 source said, “Gordon is a key part of our success and we’re delighted he’s staying with us.
“He remains Britain’s most entertaining chef and we see him as an integral part of our schedule…” Read more & comment »

Gordon Ramsay continues his travels across the United States in a bid to save failing restaurants from disaster. In this week’s programme, Gordon travels to Orange County, Southern California, to try to save an Italian restaurant from imminent destruction.
Luigi’s is a family-run restaurant established 30 years ago when Luigi, helped by his father Dominic, opened the premises. It was a successful restaurant with a great reputation until Dominic decided to retire to Italy and brought in his other son, Tony, to help run it. Unfortunately, Tony didn’t share Luigi’s passion and a series of lazy shortcuts led the business to suffer, along with the family.

TV chef Gordon Ramsay is once again in the spotlight over his alleged philandering ways as a woman who claims she was his one time mistress, Sarah Symonds, has revealed that reporters have or had “sensitive tapes” of her and Gordon.
Symonds, who calls herself a “professional mistress” allegedly had a seven year long affair with Gordon, and she now believes that during their times together, reporters “bugged” their conversations.
The Daily Star states that Symonds believes “an audio sex tape” was among evidence seized by police officers probing investigators who worked for the now defunct News of the World.
Symonds, who’s currently filming a reality TV show in Canada took to Twitter to say, “The Metropolitan Police have contacted me! Apparently they’ve found very sensitive tapes on Gordon Ramsay and I.
“Gordon’s been contacted 2! I feel very vulnerable that the Met Police have found ‘tapes of Gordon and I’ and are listening to our private business… Read more & comment »
