Last Night’s TV – Gordon Ramsay’s F Word

gordon ramsay

So Gordon returns for a fifth series of the F Word, and what’s changed? Well, his mission in this series is to find Britain’s best restaurant – and one assumes he’s disqualified due to the potential for self-nepotism, if such a thing exists…

Anywho, last night we met chefs from Leeds and Bristol who had to do the good old telly fave, a cook-off. One of those chefs was Diego De Re, and he was more than a match for Gordon, which made his segments rather entertaining.

It was fun to watch Diego berating Gordon for his dearth of black bristled pastry brushes – so you can easily spot if a few fell out in your ravioli – and the irascible Gordon trying to keep a lid on his famous temper.

The major downside for me on last night’s new series opener was the presence of Katie Price, the world’s most non-biodegradable woman. Granted, she would go to the opening of an envelope, but I felt it devalued the show somewhat that Gordon and Katie felt behoved to resort to seriously unsubtle double entendre concerning breasts, of the chicken and silicone kind… Read more & comment »

Ramsay’s Australian Nightmare: Has Gordon got foot in mouth disease?

ramsay-grimshaw

I’m sure you’ll have heard rumblings in the press and on TV about ‘Gordon-Grimshaw-Gate’ in which Gordon Ramsay has provoked fury down-under by allegedly verbally ‘attacking’ Nine Network’s ‘A Current Affair’ programme host Tracy Grimshaw. But what really happened? Well, let’s take a look…

It all began last Friday when Tracy interviewed Gordon for ‘A Current Affair’ and during the course of that interview – which there’s a clip of later in this article – it became clear that there was some tension between the two.

They clearly don’t like each other that much, however, it seems Grimshaw had agreed to give a wide berth to the stories about Gordon’s personal life, including his alleged affair or affairs plural, depending on which tabloid you read.

She did so but a lot of the interview leaned towards his personal life, and it seems he wasn’t happy about that… Read more & comment »

Gordon Ramsay Precooks Restaurant Meals!

Gordon Ramsay

Fans and critics are hitting out at celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay after it emerged that some of his London eateries serve food that was cooked elsewhere.

Pons told The Sun: “It’s hypocritical of him to use a mass production system.

“We were criticised for making up orders the day before instead of fresh on the day.

Is Gordon Ramsay facing his own kitchen nightmare?

Gordon Ramsay

Yesterday, The Sun reported that TV chef Gordon Ramsay is allegedly “serving up ready-made meals costing as little as £1.92 at several of his fancy bistros”

The report adds that diners at Gordon’s restaurant, ‘Foxtrot Oscar’ in Chelsea, pay £9.95 for a fishcake which actually costs £1.92 per portion to buy and what’s more, the article says the dish is “knocked up across town.”

However, the assistant manager of the restaurant told the paper, “Everything is cooked here. It’s Gordon Ramsay — it’s very good.”

But The Sun claims to have seen pre-prepared food delivered by the van load to the backdoor of Foxtrot Oscar… Read more & comment »

Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares USA: A verbally sanitised GR at Giuseppi’s

Why can't we just all love each other for f***s sake...

Why can't we just all love each other for f***s sake...

It seems that Gordon Ramsay could quite easily swap his career as a chef and become a psychotherapist judging by last night’s RKN at failing – and feuding – restaurant Giuseppi’s.

And there was a distinct lack of swearing and ‘cussing’ which came as a bit of a surprise to me and actually, it just didn’t feel right. It’s just not a Gordon Ramsay show without most of the audio being overlaid with bleeps is it? In its place was hugging, crying and general outpourings of emotion… and instead of saying ‘F***ing hell, pack it in!” Gordon opted more for a soothing word and a tragic/sympathetic look… In fact, the family swore infinitely more times more than Gordon did! RAMSAY’S KITCHEN NIGHTMARES USA: Giuseppi’s

Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares

Gordon Ramsay returns for a new series of Kitchen Nightmares USA , blasting an irresistible path through some of the scariest kitchens Stateside. The venue for tonight’s first programme is Giuseppi’s, a family-owned Italian restaurant in Macomb Township, Michigan, run by father-and-son team Joe and Sam Borgia. They’re constantly at each other’s throats and as a result the place is in uproar. Chaos in the kitchen is matched by the lack of customers in the restaurant, and to cap it all Joe is trying to mask a serious health problem.

Gordon Ramsay’s Been Tangoed

Gordon Ramsay keeps quiet about affair claim, LA

Gordon Ramsay was looking a little bit orange when he touched down in LA this week making me wonder who the hell gave him that ridiculous spray tan.

If I were him I would fire his beauty/stylist type person and go back to being pasty white but ruggedly sexy. It was a look that always worked well for him before!

Gordon recently delayed filming on his new series of Kitchen Nightmares in America after allegations of an extra marital affair hit the tabloids. He has kept quiet about the claims so far, refusing to confirm or deny them, but his return to American obviously marks his return to normal on the business front at least.
