Harley Street actor, Paul Nicholls, has said that he is confident the show will be given a second series, despite poor viewing figures for it’s first this summer.

The show launched with 3.9m viewers on July 17, but figures had dropped to just 2.74m when it wrapped up six weeks later.

Nicholls, who plays Robert Fielding, has claimed that the show was never suited to a summer schedule and hopes that ITV bosses realise their mistake. Read more & comment »

Suranne Jones and Paul Nicholls have signed up for new ITV medical series, Harley Street.

Suranne is best known as Karen from Coronation Street, and Paul Nicholls is a former Eastenders actor. The pair will be joined by Human Traffic star Shaun Parkes as “lifestyle surgeon” Ekkow.

The show will be based around the trio, who will be seen opening their own premises on London’s famous Harley Street. Read more & comment »
