Comedian Harry Hill – who began his working life as a doctor – has revealed that he’s going to make a “road trip” film that’s not dissimilar to US cult movie, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure.
Harry of course quit his popular Saturday night show TV Burp in March in order to spend more time on new projects, and this film is one of them.
Speaking to TV Biz, Harry – who also provides the narration for You’ve Been Framed – said, “It’s partly a road trip, with a sick hamster and some badgers involved, plus some songs and guest appearances.

It’s been reported today that comedian Harry Hill has quit TV Burp after nine years of presenting the hit show.
He reportedly turned down an offer worth £1million to continue with the show, and according to The Sun, he has insisted nothing would induce him to do another series.
An ITV source told the paper, “Harry kept telling people how much he hated doing it but they thought he was joking. He wasn’t.”
In June, Harry said of the show, “It is a drag. One year I did 21 shows — most series are only eight. At the end of it I was completely mental.”
And last year, Harry admitted to The Sun, “I do dread making the show. Watching TV is all-consuming.” Read more & comment »

The man is a modern day hero, and frankly, he’s just not being recognised as much as he should be, even though he does have two shows on at primetime on a Saturday and has won a pretty impressive stack of awards.
But if rumours are to be believed, he may soon be taking TV Burp off to Sky, which would be a great loss to terrestrial TV.
I just hope that Framed doesn’t follow suit; it was pretty dire viewing until Harry took over the narration, but he’s elevated it to the realms of must-see telly for me.
Anyway, in honour of this hero of TV, here’s a little look at some facts about Harry that you may not know and some of his finest moments… Read more & comment »

The TV Burp presenter is currently meeting with nut farmers in Malawi in a bid to source his produce.
