BBC have decided to drop its primetime police drama, Holby Blue, after only two series.

Former Eastenders star, Kacey Ainsworth was so nervous about doing a sex scene in new show Holby Blue with a stranger, that she asked her live in partner to come on set and film them with her.
She told The Sun: “I didn’t want to roll around with an extra who I didn’t know, so I phoned up Darren who was working near the studio.
“He was worried about how many people would be watching! It’s the first time he’s been on TV, but it looked good as we’ve been practising a little bit for the past ten years!”

A murder at Holby City General initially looks to be quite a simple affair as the hospital’s well-respected registrar, Jacqueline Naylor (Rosie Marcel), is accused of stabbing a man whilst on duty and her colleagues aren’t falling over themselves to help prove her innocence.
The evidence is stacked against the headstrong doctor and, following a humiliating arrest at the hospital, she is subjected to a series of gruelling questions at Holby South Station in a storyline that spans both dramas – the first time Holby Blue has crossed paths with its sister show. Read More »
