Former Hollyoaks actress Terri Dwyer has admitted that she would be open to returning to the Channel 4 soap.
Dwyer played Ruth Osborne in the show from 1995 to 2001.
Speaking to the Sunday Mercury, Dwyer explained: “The nature of my work is that you go into jobs as and when they come up. If Hollyoaks came to me with a great script I would definitely go back.
Soap stars Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas have split up.
The pair dated for 15 months but are said to have found it difficult to recover from the death of their baby son in February.
One friend told The Sun: “His death hit them for six and they were both devastated by it.
“But they had not been together long so they found it hard to deal with. Often couples in that situation have a shared history which helps them get over it – but they didn’t have that.”
As we all know by now, in Emmerdale, it turns out that Debbie’s lover Michael should be getting married to her mum, Charity.
Now, as glad as I’ll be to see Emma Atkins back as the brilliantly feisty and streetwise Charity, isn’t it stretching belief just a tad to have such a giant coincidence as a storyline?
It’s a good one, I’m not disputing that, but in terms of what makes a soap tick – that is, our ability to relate to and believe in the plots and characters – is it really likely that this would ever happen? Read more & comment »
Hollyoaks Later is airing on E4 each night this week and above is a shot from one of the racier scenes.
Whilst on a girly trip together, Sarah, played by Loui Batley, moves in for a smooch with Zoe. I bet this keeps the male viewers happy anyway!
Bonnie Tyler has agreed to appear on Hollyoaks Later and admitted that she did so to please her nieces and nephews who watch the show.
Tyler told Wales On Sunday : “They’ve been after me for a while, a couple of years in fact, to do the show and I’ve always refused.
“I live out in Portugal a lot of the time and I haven’t ever really seen it. I also really hate acting, I don’t even like making videos.
Hollyoaks actress Claire Cooper has assured her fans that she will strip off for a magazine shoot.

Channel 4’s Hollyoaks has been the latest TV series to be hit by the credit crunch.
The show releases two sexy calendars each year and traditionally, show stars jet off to hot and sunny countries to shoot their pictures. However this year they were brought to a sweaty boxing gym and a musty old stately home in Herefordshire.
A source told the Liverpool Echo: “For the 2009 calendar, they were all flown out to Spain and had a fantastic time, but this year they must have wanted to save some money because both the girls and boys’ shoots were done in Britain.
Gemma Bissix is gagging for a soap comeback, just weeks after revealing that she would be up for doing another reality TV show.
Gemma was written out of Eastenders last year and went on to make short return to Hollyoaks, where her character Clare Devine was seen killing Warren Fox.
The Daily Star has revealed that Hollyoaks bosses “will spring a double shock on fans this autumn by bringing back two old characters.”
The report goes on to add, “We can reveal that producers plan to spice up the hit Channel 4 soap and have called on a couple of old faces to return to the village.
“Some names in the mix are Gemma Atkinson, 24 (Lisa Hunter), Kevin Sacre, 31 (Jake Dean), Will Mellor, 33 (Jambo), Davinia Taylor, 31 (Jude Cunningham) and Marc Silcock, 20 (Eli).” Read more & comment »
Rumour has it that Loui Batley is planning on leaving Hollyoaks.
Loui has played the role of lesbian Sarah Barnes for the last four years, but according to Digital Spy, she was “overheard” telling revellers at a party in London that she’s quitting the soap at the end of this year. Read more & comment »
It seems that Hollyoaks’ character Hannah Ashworth is about to cause ructions when she and Darren Osbourne get drunk and then get married while on a boozy night out in Denmark.
According to the Press Association, the storyline will show the pair heading off to Denmark to accompany Stav and his band on the next leg of their tour after meeting up with the band at a gig in the SU Bar.
In scenes that are due to air on Monday July 6th the shamefaced pair head back to Chester and have to admit what they did to their friends and family. Read more & comment »
Kieron Richardson has revealed to the Press Association that he’s “finding it hard” to cope with his character’s storylines in Chester soap Hollyoaks.
Richardson’s character – single dad Ste – is currently being manipulated by evil would-be babysnatchers Daniel and Abi. They’re new characters to the show and while viewers are aware of their intention to kidnap Ste’s baby, Lucas, the character believes they are friends who’re trying to help him cope.

James Sutton has left Hollyoaks and is on his way to ITV’s Emmerdale and he has been speaking about his new role.
Sutton will soon make his debut as unemployed mechanic Ryan Lamb, Faye Lamb’s son, in Emmerdale.
James told MSN: “He’s a bit of a lad’s lad, he’s quite blokey, he likes a pint and he’s a mechanic, an out of work mechanic – he’s lost his job so he moves up to sponge off his mum for a bit.”
Zoe Lister is to leaving Channel 4’s Hollyoaks after three years on the teen based soap.
Lister plays Zoe Carpenter and is planning to leave the show in December.
Speaking about her decision to leave, Zoe told MSN: “It’s scary but also very, very exciting,” adding: “I think three years in a soap is enough to do and you get to a point where you either make a decision that this is what you do or you want to try something different.”
Soapstar Gemma Bissix has admitted that she can’t get a man after playing a nasty man eater in both Hollyoaks and Eastenders.
Gemma told this week’s new! magazine: “I think I scare off the nice men, because they think I’m like my screen characters.
