House creator David Shore is planning to remake the hit ’70s TV show ‘The Rockford Files’.
The original series centred around James Garner who played ex-convict private investigator Jim Rockford.
Shore told Variety: “It’s one of the shows that made me want to become a writer. I had no interest in adapting any old stuff, but this was the one exception.”
Sources from behind the scenes of hit medical show House, have confirmed that German actress, Franka Potente, will be making an appearance on House season six.
Potente, previously seen in Run, Lola, Run and The Bourne Identity, will appear in the two hour premiere of the House.

House actor Kal Penn started work in the White House today, he took a break from Hollywood to serve in the administration of President Barack Obama.
“This is an incredibly historic time; I’m deeply honoured to be here and I hope to serve my country to the best of my ability,” the actor told reporters on a conference call.
In scenes not yet aired in UK, Kal’s character Dr Lawrence Kutner commits suicide, the storyline provided Penn with an out from the show.

Sky1 has signed a deal with NBC Universal International Television Distribution to secure the first run TV rights in the UK to the hit medical drama series House, it was announced today. House will continue its second run in the UK on Hallmark, where it has been airing since 2005.
Starring Hugh Laurie as Dr Gregory House, the series has won the hearts of viewers and critics alike and has been honoured on numerous occasions with awards including three Emmys, two Golden Globes and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Sky1 has acquired the series as it enters its fifth season in the UK and reaches the milestone 100th episode.

American actor Kal Penn has quit his TV work and accepted a role in the administration as a liaison between President Barack Obama’s administration and arts groups.
Penn’s most recent TV role was on American medical drama, House where he played Dr Lawrence Kutner who unexpectedly committed suicide on last night’s episode.
“I’ve been thinking about [moving into politics] for a while. I love what I do as an actor. I couldn’t love it more,” said Penn. “But probably from the time I was a kid, I really enjoyed that balance between the arts and public service.”
Hugh Lawrie was in the middle of filming for hit US medical drama ‘House’ this week when the producers pulled a prank.
It’s not brilliant as far as April Fools jokes go but the sight of Hugh Lawrie watching a band and circus acts emerging from a fake elevator in complete bewilderment is mildly amusing.
He kinds of looks a little p***ed by the end though. Obviously a complete workaholic!
Heroes actor, Greg Grunberg has put together a celebrity band who donate the proceeds of their performances and recordings to the charities of their choice.

House creator, David Shore, has revealed that he is planning to make a spinoff show revolving around a private detective played by Michael Weston.
“We brought in a character, partway through the year, Michael Weston as this private investigator House goes to,” Shore told Newark Star-Ledger. “The spinoff would be less of a spinoff, it would be more us using House to launch it. It would be an independent world. A character out of the House mould, but definitely different.” Read more & comment »
British actor Hugh Laurie, who has found worldwide fame in US drama, House, has claimed that Britain has ’slammed it’s door’ on him since his career took him to America.
Hugh told the Radio Times: “There’s a notion that I’ve sold out. Sold out what? There’s a peculiar British attitude that I took an oath I wouldn’t be successful, and reneged on it.”
The former Blackadder actor added that he had not been offered any work in Britain since he started on House four years ago, saying: “The door slammed behind me, and that’s it.”
