Indian Food Made Easy: Episode Two

Anjum Anand continues her journey around the country revealing how different flavours of the Indian subcontinent can be found throughout the UK – ranging from mouth-watering Bengali cuisine in London to the full flavours of the Punjab found in Glasgow.

The second episode features Michael “Scottie” Scott, the captain of Stoneygate, one of Leicester’s oldest rugby clubs. Every month, the team has a takeaway curry. Anjum convinces Scottie to join her in the kitchen so she can show him how simple it is to cook an Indian meal for the players, as an alternative to their traditional takeaway.

Indian Food Made Easy RECIPES HERE!

I miss the BBC series, Indian Food Made Easy.

I love a good Indian, but until this series aired I had never dared to cook an Indian meal. To be honest I never ventured far from the meat and two veg basic dinner.

After the series came to an end (and I so hope there is another!) I went out and bought this book in which Anjum Anand put together the best recipes from the TV shows.

I have made some great curries and even some breads, though I haven’t yet ventured into the seafood recipes as I’m not much of a fish fan.

This book couldn’t come more highly recommended, anyone who enjoyed the series should think about getting the book. You can buy it here and it’s a bargain at only £8.93!
