Sex In The City actress Kim Cattrall has revealed that she almost didn’t get the part in new ITV drama, My Boy Jack as bosses felt she wasn’t right for the role.
Cattrall said: “I wasn’t actually offered the role immediately. I had to meet Brian and I got a response from my agent saying ‘I don’t think that Brian thinks that you’re right (for the role)’.
“Then he went away and he watched a few films and a play that I did and he said, ‘I was wrong, I’ve changed my mind, I think you’d make a terrific Carrie’. And it was so thrilling for me because for the first time I was playing someone that actually existed, so I had a lot of research to do.” Read more & comment »
Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan will reunite for a sketch in tomorrow nights, The Kylie Show, on ITV1.
The show will celebrate Kylie’s 20 year long showbiz career and one of the pairs scenes will be a Neighbours flashback sequence in which Kylie will don Charlene’s famous mechanic dungarees.

Trinny Woodall has traded in her 32A breasts for a 32D to match best friend and partner in solving style crime Susannah Constantine.
The usually happily flat-chested Trinny tried new boobs for size for their new TV series Trinny and Susannah Undress the Nation at 8pm on ITV1 tomorrow night, when they wage war on British women’s badly dressed breasts.
But rather than go under the knife she had them specially moulded from silicon and fitted by prosthetics experts as part of an experiment to see what it would be like to have bigger bosoms. Read more & comment »
Style experts Trinny and Susannah tackle the nation’s breast assets tonight on ITV1 and discover that it’s weight – not size – that could solve the problem of finding a correctly fitting bra.
In an up close and personal consultation with design engineer Dr John Tyrer from Loughborough University, Susannah Constantine is taught how to weigh her 34D breasts – by dunking them in water.
Dr Tyrer is a measurement expert who’s wrestling with the prototype for a perfect bra, and he believes the most important factor is not cup size, its breast weight.
“If you’re an engineer or a designer the first thing you want to know is how heavy - how heavy are each of your breasts.”
The displaced water method was developed by Dr Tyrer in order to design new prototype bras that fit women more accurately than the current measuring and design procedure.
“Knowing the displaced amount of water tells us what the breast weight is. Then using a conversion factor we can then convert the weight of displaced water to the weight of the breast,” said Dr Tyrer.
Susannah learnt that her breasts weigh two pounds each, the equivalent of carrying around four bags of sugar. Read more & comment »

52 year old actress, Deena Payne has called an urgent meeting with Emmerdale bosses, asking for a break from her hectic filming schedule.
Deena, who plays Viv Hope in the soap opera, wants to take a years break from the TV show in order to spend more time with her family.
The actress told the Daily Star: “After 16 years enjoying the part of Viv, I feel ready to take a break to spend some time with my family and be a supportive mother through my son’s GCSE year.
“A change is as good as a rest and I’m also looking forward to ‘Dancing around the World and Back’ as I am a patron of this charity, and then returning to Emmerdale with renewed vigour.” Read more & comment »

Emmerdale’s poshest man, Grayson Sinclair, is set to attack Matthew King this week as he suspects him of once again bedding his wife.
A source tells The Daily Star: “Grayson and Perdy are overjoyed when Katie Sugden agrees to be a surrogate mother for them. They have been desperate for a baby and at first the news seems to bring them closer together.
“But when Katie moves in, Grayson spoils her rotten and Perdy can’t help feeling left out.

Coronation Street’s Claire Peacock has certainly undergone a massive soap personality transplant this year. No more miss goody two shoes for Claire, no way! Now she goes out on the p**s and tries to score with a neighbour.
