Gossip Girl returns to ITV2 next week for season three. We have had loads and loads of emails from you guys asking for spoilers on the new series, so we’ve brought you a few new webclips which will give you an idea of what to expect next week. Enjoy!
Last night’s TV was a tad scant on new offerings, but I tuned in to Trinity on ITV2 hoping that this new series would live up to its promise. Said promise was made by the show’s executive producer, Ash Atalla, who described the show as “high-octane, ball-breaking drama”.
Well, if there was any high-octane or ball-breaking, I missed it. What I did find however was a show that, yet again, tried to sample bits of previously successful shows and roll them into a ‘new’ format. And it didn’t work. Not even a little bit.
The concept of the show is that at a posh college, there’s something sinister afoot. The show centred around the new term starting and immediately lobbed a ton of back-stories at us to establish the sinister subtext. But it was done with a heavy hand and they may as well have put up subtitles or flashed the point of the scene up on a big board. Read more & comment »

The brand new, third season, of Gossip Girl will premiere on ITV2 next month, it has been confirmed.
The show will launch on the 7th of October at 8PM.
ITV2 controller Zai Bennett commented: “We’re pleased to be able to give our viewers their weekly fix of Gossip Girl so soon after it is broadcast in the US.”
Gossip Girl season two only ended a few weeks ago on ITV2 and already I am having withdrawal symptoms. Season three looks completely fab though, so hopefully the wait will be worth it.
I love the new WTF campaign. WTF generally standing for ‘what the f*ck’ but in this case meaning ‘watch this fall.’
Leighton Meester has admitted that she is hoping Chuck and Blair’s on screen drama continues throughout season three.
Meester, who plays Blair Waldorf in The CW drama, told E! Online:
“I’m actually really rooting for them. I think they’re a really interesting couple and they’re not typical at all. Everything they do is a little bit naughty!”
Top Model host Tyra Banks has signed on to appear in the upcoming season of Gossip Girls according to E!.
Tyra will be starring alongside Hilary Duff, who will be playing a movie star looking for the authentic college experience. Hilary’s character will be rooming with Vanessa and Banks is due to show up in episode four.
The fifth season of Supernatural will kick off on Living later this year, after Virgin Media scooped the rights from ITV2.
The channel also has exclusive rights to a possible sixth series, as well as the rights to air the first four series. They kick off with the pilot episode on Thursday August 6 at 9pm.
In tonight’s season finale Gossip Girl decides to liven things up at the Constance Billard and St. Jude’s graduation by sending out a damaging e-mail in the middle of the ceremony.
Jenny considers her role at school next year, Lily and Rufus decide their future and Serena makes a discovery about her biological father.
Gossip Girl has turned a little weird this season and I’m not sure if I like the fact that Blair and Nate are back together. I much preferred the coupling of Nate and Vanessa.
Tom Felton makes an appearance on tomorrow night’s coverage of the iTunes festival on ITV2. Tom is better known as Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter movies, though you may not recognise him without his robe and broomstick.
It’s that stressful time of year when the students of Constance Billard and St. Jude schools find out who is – and isn’t – worthy of early admission to Yale University. Serena bonds with her new Shakespeare teacher, Rachel, who is not the slightest bit aware of the wrath she is about to suffer after giving Blair the first B [not a top mark] of her prep school career. Chuck pairs up with an unlikely ally in his war with Jack over Bass Industries. Plus, Nate and Vanessa spend a romantic evening at the opera.
Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick has admitted that he and co-star Chace Crawford sometimes get sent “weird” fan mail.
Westwick, aka Chuck Bass told Metro: “I’ve been getting some weird mail, that’s for sure.”
“There have been a couple of nights where some of the girls who live there have obviously got a bit drunk and written love letters and slipped them under the door. We have one stuck up on the fridge.
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester has landed herself a record deal.
Billboard reports that 23-year-old Meester aka Blair Waldorf has signed a deal with Universal Republic through Time-Act Music.
The star’s music is described as ‘electro-pop edge’.
“I’m thrilled to be welcomed into the Universal Republic fold,” Leighton said in a statement. “Their reputation for nurturing artists combined with a willingness to break new ground makes it the ultimate environment for me to enjoy making music and explore my own creative boundaries.”
