As regular readers of Primetime will know, I’ve never been Katie Price’s biggest fan; I haven’t even been a little tiny one, however, having now watched several episodes of WKDN, an odd thing has happened…
I seem to be warming to KP.
I’m certainly not going to class myself as a ‘fan’ and I wouldn’t go as far as going to one of her innumerable book signings or personal appearances, but, given the evidence of these fly-on-the-walls, I don’t think she’s quite the narcissistic harridan I had her pegged as. Read more & comment »
Just when you thought it was safe to turn to ITV2 without seeing Katie Price and her various and nefarious ‘What Katie Did’ activities, it’s back.
This series two opener took up Katie’s ‘fascinating’ story just as she left the I’m A Celeb jungle and got a whisper in her ear – from bff Michelle Heaton – that Alex Reid, bloke du jour, had been “doing stories.”
That, it seems, was a heinous crime, punishable by death and/or public humiliation, and given that murder is still a crime that even giant knockers can’t get you out of, the former option was chosen. Read more & comment »
The executive producer of The Vampire Diaries has hinted that we may see some more redeemable features in bad boy Damon as the series continues.
Nina Dobrev’s Elena is currently being wooed by brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore. She looks exactly like Katherine, a vampire who both Salvatore’s were once obsessed with.
Tell us about your character Stefan.
“Stefan is a tormented vampire around 150 years old. He doesn’t look his age though! He was turned into a vampire when he was a young man so he eternally looks the same age as he was back then.
“He is tormented and anguished as he really hates being a vampire and he doesn’t want to be in this state. I don’t know for sure but the assumption I make is that Stefan was turned into a vampire against his will. He hates it.
Tell us about your character Elena.
“Elena is a high school girl trying to get back to leading a normal sort of life. She’s just lost her parents in a car accident so she’s trying to cope with that whilst taking care of her brother Jeremy who has started taking drugs.
“Her aunt Jenna is now their guardian but she’s not much older than Elena, so she’s got all these responsibilities and pressures that no other teen in her class or age range has to deal with.
As per my last post, I’ve never watched Secret Diary before, so last night’s new series opener was my first expedition into Belle’s world.
And though it was portrayed as something almost honourable to be an empowered and in-control call girl, I can’t help but feel it gives an entirely unrealistic view of prostitution. And furthermore, I think that’s maybe a tad dangerous.
I wonder how many young women, having watched Billie Piper strutting confidently through many a hotel corridor in designer outfits, think it’s perhaps not as dangerous or vile a world as the media would have us believe. Read more & comment »

Doctor Who star Billie Piper has revealed that filming some of the more strange romp scenes for the new series of Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, left her feeling jaded about sex.
On some of the scenarios they played out on the show, Billie told The Sun:
“I was a chicken… and I had to bleat like a ewe. It makes me sweat just thinking about it!”
Billie Piper has admitted that some of her neighbours think she is a prostitute in real life.
The former Doctor Who actress plays call girl Belle De Jour on ITV2 show Secret Diary Of A Call Girl and told Marie Claire: “It’s funny. When Laurence and I go out into the countryside, I think a few of the older locals actually believe I’m a whore.
Taylor Momsen has admitted that she gets frustrated when people refuse to take her seriously because of age.
The 16-year-old Gossip Girl star told Seventeen magazine: “I think people don’t really take me seriously because I’m 16. And they think most 16-year-olds don’t know what they want to do.
