As we reported recently, in next week’s visits to Coronation Street, surrogate mum Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) is set to go into labour weeks too early…

She is of course carrying a baby for Gary Windass (Mikey North) and his girlfriend, Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston) and in the episode that airs on Wednesday, May 29, Gary’s spent the night at the hospital, but Izzy still won’t let him see his son.

Next week’s episodes of Coronation Street are set to be super dramatic as pregnant Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) goes into labour during a row in the newly reopened Rovers, sending Gary Windass and Izzy Armstrong into a panic as they can only sit and wait for the outcome while wondering if their baby boy is going to live or die…

The drama begins on Monday, May 27 as the Windass family gather at the Rovers along with the rest of the Street’s residents for the pub’s grand re-opening. Dad to be Gary Windass (Mikey North) has of course secretly been growing very fond of surrogate mum Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) but so far, his girlfriend Izzy has failed to spot it…

However, in next week’s episodes, when Izzy (Cherylee Houston) finds out that Gary has splashed out £200 – which they can ill afford – on a gift for Tina, the penny drops and she begins to fear that Gary and Tina are more than just friends.

The drama begins after Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) tells Tina that he can’t give her the next installment of the money he promised her when she agreed to be a surrogate for his daughter. Owen has of course been left broke after laying out in advance for the refit of the Rovers, only to learn from Stella Price (Michelle Collins) that the insurance won’t pay out, and she has no money. Starting with the Gary and Tina (Michelle Keegan) storyline, The Sun reports that as Tina’s pregnancy goes on, and Gary and Izzy (Cherylee Houston) spend more time with their surrogate, Gary’s feelings for Tina will grow, leaving Izzy “devastated.”

As we reported recently, when surrogate mum Tina McIntyre faints – it’ll transpire she’s anaemic – next week, her boyfriend Tommy Duckworth will plead with her to abort the baby she’s carrying for Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston) as he fears the toll on her health is to great…

And somewhat shockingly, Michelle Keegan, who of course plays Tina, has revealed that when her character tells Izzy about Tommy’s request, she’ll be supportive of Tommy (Chris Fountain) and will tell Tina that if she does decide to terminate the pregnancy, she and Gary will “just start again with someone else!”

Michelle made the revelation about the plot twist while speaking to Digital Spy about the surrogacy storyline, and what lies ahead for her character.

Coronation Street star Chris Fountain has revealed his hopes for a happy ending for his character Tommy Duckworth, and his girlfriend Tina McIntyre, as he would be sad if they were to split up over their latest drama.

Coronation Street star Cherylee Houston is currently involved in one of the most heart-wrenching storylines her character, Izzy Armstrong, has endured throughout her short time on the cobbles of Coronation Street, all the while hiding her heartbreak from the tragedy of losing her father in real life.

Cherylee, who joined the cast of Corrie in 2010, phoned bosses at the award-winning ITV soap in tears on September 6th to tell them that her father, Bill Houston, had lost what had been a long battle with cancer, according to the Sun newspaper.
