Everyone in the country was shocked when news broke earlier this week that a 15-year-old boy had cruelly and callously set fire to a dogs’ shelter, risking the lives of the 200 plus dogs residing in the charity’s kennels.
The fire was tackled by fire fighters whilst two local heroes jumped three fences at the back of the burning building to get to the kennels where they kicked through the locked doors to try and rescue as many of the helpless animals as possible. They saved over 150 canines, but sadly, 60 dogs still died in the blaze.

Following the shock announcement that Coronation Street heart throb, Chris Fountain had been axed from the show in the summer, ITV have now confirmed an exit date for the star – Wednesday October 23rd!
Fountain, who plays Tommy Duckworth in the long-running ITV soap was dismissed by show bosses in August after a rap video featuring him apparently condoning rape and violence to women began circulating the internet.
