The drama begins in the episode that airs on Tuesday 16 April when Tanya (Jo Joyner) catches Lauren sneaking out of the house and asks her if she wants to go shopping, adding that she hasn’t seen much of her lately.

Fans of EastEnders will know that Joey and Lauren Branning’s love affair has been brought to an abrupt halt by the interference of Joey’s scheming dad Derek, who’s set to be killed off over Christmas.
In case you’ve missed the show so far this week, after Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) and Joey (David Witts) were in a car crash, and after Derek (Jamie Foreman) discovered Lauren had been driving after she’d been drinking, he told Joey that he must ditch Lauren…

As fans of EastEnders will know, Patsy Palmer is now back at work on the show after taking several months off from the soap and her role as downtrodden single mum, Bianca Jackson.
We’ll see Bianca’s return to the Square – she has of course been in prison – early in December, but it seems her status as a single parent isn’t about to change any time soon, given that Sid Owen, who played Bianca’s husband Ricky Butcher, has left the show.
But apparently, Patsy is hoping that he might make a comeback at some point in the future, and she thinks that if he doesn’t, her character Bianca will remain loveless, because Ricky is “the only man” for her.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Patsy said, “I think Ricky will always be the man for Bianca – they’re such a great couple!

Cousins Lauren and Joey Branning are of course currently in the midst of an intense romance, but given that they’re actually related, understandably, they aren’t keen to share the news of the relationship…
But as we’ll see in tonight’s episode, when Lauren and Joey (David Witts) have an horrific car crash, Joey’s dad Derek (Jamie Foreman) helps to rescue them from the wrecked motor, and within minutes of freeing them, he’s going to manipulate the accident to his own advantage.
