James Martin’s Delicatessen Found To be Unhygenic
A delicatessen owned by Saturday Kitchen presenter, James Martin, has been branded “unsatisfactory” by food inspectors.
The Sun has reported that Martin’s Cadogan and James shop was given the lowest possible rating by Winchester Council.
Inspectors criticised the premises for ‘ineffective cleaning’, dirty surfaces, mouldy chiller cabinet and bad rotation of cooked meats.
Commenting on the report, Martin said: “Certain staff members have received disciplinary action.
“The shop’s very important to me. This is not a fly-by-night thing. There was a lapse. I apologise.”
