Hollyoaks James Sutton (John Paul McQueen) says he hates being famous!

Recent Hollyoaks returnee, James Sutton, has revealed that he doesn’t like the fame his high-profile job brings him, and says he doesn’t consider himself a celebrity!

Fans of the hit Channel 4 soap will know how James returned to Hollyoaks as John Paul McQueen just before Christmas last year, complete with new son Matthew Jesus, and has been reinstated firmly back in to the hearts of the fans ever since.

As we reported earlier this week, John Paul McQueen’s career is set to hang in the balance in Hollyoaks when a practical joke he plays on new sixth form headmaster, Patrick Blake, backfires.

John Paul (James Sutton) and new potential love interest, Doug Carter (PJ Brennan) decide, after an afternoon of drinking, to cover Patrick’s (Jeremy Sheffield) car with post it notes, unaware that the whole thing is being photographed by Callum Kane (Laurie Duncan) and Hollyoaks newcomer, Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham).

Hollyoaks Spoilers: Former BGT contestant, Charlie Wernham, cast as Robbie Roscoe!

Hollyoaks have released the first pictures of Robbie Roscoe, who is set to make his first appearance on the hit Channel 4 soap next week.

We reported last month, Robbie is set to move to the village of Hollyoaks with his mum Sandy, played by former EastEnder Gillian Taylforth and his four brothers, who producer Bryan Kirkwood has labelled the male version of the McQueens!

It is the moment that all Hollyoaks fans have been waiting for, when Ruby Button is finally exposed as being the horrendous bully that drove poor Esther Bloom to try and end her own life!

During last Hollyoaks old lovers Brendan and Ste finally became a proper couple, and we all watched and cheered with glee – apart from Doug perhaps.

Hollyoaks: James Sutton discusses John Paul McQueen return and promises “never before seen drama” (EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW)

Fans of Hollyoaks will be pleased to know that as of next week, the main male McQueen, John Paul, is returning to our Channel 4 screens!

John Paul McQueen was last seen on Hollyoaks back in 2008 when he left the village to peruse a happier life with his best friend, tuned lover, Craig Dean (Guy Burnett) in Dublin.

Since he has been away the McQueen family have endured more than their fair share of heartache, including the Silas Blissett murder spree, and more recently the self-inflicted stabbing of his sister, Mercedes and the death of his sister, Jacqui’s husband Rhys.

Now, with the family still deeply in turmoil, it is up to John Paul to make things a bit more normal for them as he returns to the village.  But, as with all McQueens, his homecoming brings its fair share of dramas with him.

Unreality TV caught up with James Sutton, who is returning to our Hollyoaks screens next week to reprise the role of John Paul McQueen, to find out what drama’s his character has in store for us.

Hollyoaks to air live episode?

Recently returned Hollyoaks star, James Sutton, has expressed a desire for the hit Channel 4 soap to follow in the footsteps of its mainstream rivals and air a live episode.

So far in the last two years we have seen live episodes from the likes of EastEnders and Coronation Street, with the most recent, and impressive, being the live hour long Emmerdale in October to celebrate the shows 40th anniversary.

Hollyoaks: James Sutton to return to reprise role as John Paul McQueen!

Former Emmerdale actor, James Sutton, is returning to Hollyoaks to reprise his role as homosexual McQueen, John Paul!

Fans of the award-winning Channel 4 soap last saw Sutton on their Hollyoaks screens back in 2008, when he fled the village after his half-brother, Niall killed his half-sister, Tina during the epic Church explosion in the same year.

Emmerdale: Former star James Sutton would “never say never” to a return

Former Emmerdale star James Sutton – who also formerly starred in Hollyoaks as John Paul McQueen and in Lynda La Plante’s drama Trial and Retribution X – has revealed that he would always consider returning to the rural soap.

James of course played the role of Ryan Lamb in Emmerdale from June 2009 until April 2011.

Speaking to What’s On TV magazine about the prospect of a return to the soap, James said, “If the storyline was right and they wanted me to come back, then I would come back.

“Never say never.”

He added, “I haven’t died [on screen]. John Paul went to Dublin, and Ryan got in a car to somewhere.

“I get asked a lot if I’m going to go back to Hollyoaks, but at the moment, they have a really big cast and I don’t think there’s room for me.” Read more & comment »

Emmerdale: James Sutton wants to settle down and have children!

James Sutton has revealed that he would like to settle down now that he has left Emmerdale.

The hunky actor, who previously played John Paul in Hollyoaks and was seen leaving the Dales last week and his role of Ryan Lamb, said now he has some free time he wants to find a good woman and start a family.

“I really do want to settle down. I’m quite looking forward to the prospect – I just need to find a girlfriend – that would be awesome,” he told Holy Soap. “I definitely want a family and a wife. I’m 28 so I’m getting on – but I know that’s not old really, is it?”
