Fans of EastEnders will of course know that young Abi Branning is currently dating Jay Mitchell (Jamie Borthwick) who’s her first real boyfriend…
And though her character is only 16 years old, as is the actress herself, Lorna Fitzgerald has revealed that she’d love to see Abi and Jay wed!
Speaking via the show’s official website, Lorna said, “I’d like them to run away and get married so I can wear a pretty dress. That’d be nice!
“I think they do stay together, but it would be nice again if Lola [Danielle Harold] came into it, like how it was in the beginning; ‘Who will he choose?’ Hopefully me! Read more & comment »

In tonight’s visit to Walford, the big dark secret that Sharon Rickman’s been harbouring is finally revealed; she’s a drug addict!
However, her weapon of choice is painkillers, both prescription and over-the-counter, and after a stressful showdown with Phil (Steve McFadden) Sharon feels the urge to turn to her little round friends, but instead, she heads off to find a support group.
The storyline begins when Sharon (Letitia Dean) goes to see Phil, and he tells her that he wants her to run the Queen Vic for him instead of R&R. However, because of the plethora of bad memories that the pub holds for her, she tells him she can’t do it.
However, Phil – who’s stressed out and upset having heard that his son Ben is being tried on the more serious charge of the murder of Heather Trott and not the lesser charge of manslaughter – furiously counters that if she refuses, he’ll sack her from the club too… Read more & comment »

Jay Mitchell has of course been an unwilling accessory to murder – both during and after the fact – in as much as he’s known all along that it was Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe) who murdered poor old Hev…
However, during this week’s special week of episodes, Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) is finally going to learn the truth, and of course, the revelation rocks not only her, but also the rest of the Square when it becomes public knowledge that it was indeed Ben who ended Heather’s life.
But initially, when Shirley discovers the photo frame that was used to kill Heather – and she tracks it back to having been in the Mitchell house – she jumps to the conclusion that it must have been Phil (Steve McFadden) who murdered Heather… Read more & comment »

Could Ian Beale be about to blow the whistle on the murder of Heather Trott in EastEnders?
Fans of the award-winning BBC soap will know how Ian (Adam Woodyatt) returned to the soap last week after spending the last few months on the streets after he discovered that his half-brother Ben (Joshua Pascoe) was the person responsible for the harpooning of Heather Trott earlier this year.

As fans of EastEnders will know, Billy Mitchell’s granddaughter Lola is heavily pregnant, but the prospect of becoming a mum soon hasn’t calmed her down a whole lot, and in Monday’s visit to the Square, we’ll see her playing a prank on Denise (Diane Parish) that could well backfire on her!
We have a spoiler clip for you, and news of some schedule changes next week after the jump, but first, on the subject of Lola (Danielle Harold) pranking Denise, the bored mum to be pretends to go into labour in the café, and a shocked Denise is just about to call an ambulance – given she thinks Lola’s waters have broken – when Lola reveals a bottle of water she was hiding to carry out the joke.
However, Denise is understandably not impressed, and Lola may regret crying wolf when she goes into labour for real! Read more & comment »

Life for Jay Mitchell (Jamie Borthwick) is really only just settling down into a relatively normal pattern since the horrific murder of Heather Trott…
He has of course struggled with his conscience over the fact that he was there when she died, having witnessed nutcase Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe) smack her on the head with a photo frame.
But next week, that frame is going to come back to haunt Jay when he finds it hidden under Ben’s bed.
As you may recall, at the time of the murder, Ben’s dad Phil (Steve McFadden) told him to weight down the frame and chuck it in the canal, but for whatever reason, he didn’t and stashed it at home instead… Read more & comment »

Oh dear, it would seem as though the very fragile world of Jay Mitchell is about to come tumbling down around him in EastEnders when girlfriend, Abi Branning, announces that she is off to Costa Rica on a scholarship.
Jay (Jamie Borthwick) is still feeling the pressures of the harpooning of Heather Trott, and his relationship with Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) has been the only thing holding him together, so when she reveals her plans, he resorts to a pretty desperate measure to get her to stay, a marriage proposal!

As we have all watched over the last week or so, the cover up of Heather Trott’s murder is starting to unravel in EastEnders, leaving us all just waiting for the truth to be revealed, but could the Mitchell’s have one more trick up their sleeves?
So far, since Killing Heather, we have seen murderer Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe) enlist the help of father Phil (Steve McFadden) to help cover up his dastardly deed, whilst Jay Mitchell (Jamie Borthwick) shook close to breaking point in the background!
However, despite his calculated steps to keep the truth from coming out, including breaking his dad and Shirley (Linda Henry), Heather’s best friend, up, it was Ben himself who spilled the beans, to half-brother Ian (Adam Woodyatt).

We all knew he couldn’t get away with it forever, and it seems we were right, as tomorrow becomes judgement day for EastEnders Ben Mitchell, when his brother Ian Beale discovers the truth about Heather’s death!
It almost seemed like the perfect, undetectable murder when Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe) killed Heather Trott in cold blood in March, but viewers have seen the visible cracks appearing in the cover up constructed by Ben, his dad, Phil (Steve McFadden) and half-step-adopted brother Jay (Jamie Borthwick) since the dastardly deed was done, and it is all set to come to an explosive head in tomorrow night episode.

Ever since nutty Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe) murdered poor Heather Trott by smacking her upside the head with a photo frame, his dad Phil (Steve McFadden) and pseudo brother Jay (Jamie Borthwick) have been covering for him…
And of course, Ben – ever resourceful when it comes to scheming – has even managed to persuade his dad to ditch his fiancé Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) but when Jay reveals that he can’t live with Ben any longer, and announces he wants to go and live with Shirley, Ben panics.
He tells his dad that he’s worried Jay will crack under the pressure of Shirley’s campaign to find out who murdered Hev, and spill the beans about who the real murderer is.
So, agreeing that Jay can’t be around Shirley, Phil decides that the best thing all round is to send both Ben and Jay to stay with his brother Grant – who was of course played by Ross Kemp – in Brazil… Read more & comment »

Last night saw the 13th annual British Soap Awards, and all the stars braved the wind and rain to take their seats for the spectacular event, held at the ITV studios in London, where UnrealityTV were on the red carpet to speak to them all before the ceremony started.

The EastEnders cast were surprisingly sparse when it came to the red carpet event, especially when compared to the huge Emmerdale crew that showed up en masse, but we managed to catch up with some of the Walford residents to clear up some old rumours and get some new gossip!
