STV report today that scheming Robbie Lawson and his mum Megan Macey (Gaynor Faye) are going to do their best to ruin Katie and Declan’s wedding day after Robbie discovers that Declan (Jason Merrells) is intending to fleece Megan out of the money she’s earned in setting up the music festival.

Speaking exclusively to STV, Jamie Shelton, who of course plays Robbie, said, “Robbie finds out Declan and Katie are going to screw Megan over with the festival money, and then Megan finds out.

“And Robbie wants to tell Megan to mess up the wedding and he wants to help her do that.”

So that the plotline isn’t spoiled for viewers, Jamie added, “All I know really is that they’re out to spoil it and Megan’s going to make sure she does that…

“She’ll be bursting as they’re getting married and seeing how everyone reacts to that. That’s the plan.” Read more & comment »

Emmerdale has always had its fair share of bad boys, and the latest to join the ranks of those troublemakers is Robbie Lawson, who is of course Megan Macey’s estranged son.

As fans of the show will know, Megan (Gaynor Faye) gave Robbie up for adoption when he was a baby, but her brother Declan (Jason Merrells) recently tracked Robbie down, and the bad lad subsequently moved into Home Farm…

However, Robbie’s ruffling the feathers of Declan’s live in girlfriend Katie Sugden (Sammy Winward) with his sponging ways and his obnoxious form of flirting, and it’s an issue that Declan’s finding hard to forgive Robbie for.

As we reported a few weeks ago, newcomer Jamie Shelton has joined the cast of Emmerdale as Megan Macey’s son…

He’s playing the role of Robbie, who Megan’s brother Declan Macey (Jason Merrells) tracks down with the help of a private investigator. We have of course heard in recent episodes that Megan had a son who she gave up for adoption when he was a baby.

However, it seems Robbie has grown up with some issues, and when he turns up at Home Farm, Megan (Gaynor Faye) is shocked to the core, and it seems Robbie’s more than willing to use that to his advantage.

Being considered village bad lad is a dubious honour that Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) has had for some time in Emmerdale, but it seems he’s to be challenged in that role by a village newcomer.

Relatively unknown actor Jamie Shelton has been cast as a “shady character from Megan Macey’s past”, according to the Sun’s TV Biz.

And the paper adds that the arrival of Jamie’s character, Robbie, is set to cause havoc for Megan – who’s played by Gaynor Faye – as he represents a time in her life that she’d rather was forgotten. But it seems Robbie’s going to be only too willing to spill the beans, unless she can keep him quiet.

And it seems it’s not only Megan who needs to look out, as Robbie is going to cause quite a stir in the village too.
