And as Paul Kershaw (Tony Hirst) goes into mourning for his friend who died in the inferno, the finger of blame seems to be pointed firmly at Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) however, as the week goes on, other suspects come to light…
The drama gets underway when, on Sunday, we see that Karl Munro (John Michie) is keen that Jason get the blame for the fire after it’s initially believed the flood in the pub’s cellar – which of course got into the fuse box when Karl deliberately sabotaged it – was to blame for the fire. The drama begins on Monday, March 11 when Jason’s left fuming that he didn’t get the council contract because he now has no van. So when Karl (John Michie) taunts Jason, the builder sees red and when he then spots Karl’s car unattended, he smashes the wing mirror.

Fans of Corrie may know that Rovers landlady Stella Price is about to embark on a romance with builder Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) but according to Michelle Collins, who plays Stella, filming the scenes of their sexy encounters weren’t all that sexy…
Primarily because Michelle managed to head butt Ryan in the face, causing him to end up with a bloody nose and giving herself a swollen cheek!

Fan of Coronation Street will know how there is a ton of drama lined up for show favourites, Maria Connor and Marcus Dent, but it would seem that it spilled over in to real life when Charlie Condou, who plays Marcus, ended up concussed after being hit by Ryan Thomas, who plays Maria’s boyfriend, Jason Grimshaw.

Former Coronation Street actress, Tina O’Brien, has admitted she is fearful of her character in the hit ITV soap, Sarah Louise Grimshaw, being recast by another actress.
O’Brien, who played the role for 8 years, quit the show back in 2007 to have her daughter, Scarlet, with ex-boyfriend, and current Coronation Street actor, Ryan Thomas, who plays her former on-screen husband, Jason Grimshaw in the soap.

Corrie star Ryan Thomas – who plays builder Jason Grimshaw – has revealed that he misses former co-star Katherine Kelly, and he added that he’d love to see her back on the soap one day to reprise the role of Becky McDonald.
As fans will recall, Katherine left the show last year in order to pursue other roles, and has since received critical acclaim for her role in stage play, She Stoops To Conquer.
Speaking to the PA, Ryan – whose brother Adam plays the role of Adam Barton in Emmerdale – said, “I’d like to see Becky’s return some time, I miss that character very much and I miss Katherine the person very much.
“I think if she ever came back as a guest appearance it would make my day.”

The Daily Mirror reports today that when US iconic actor Robert Vaughn temporarily joins the cast of Corrie this week, he’s being given the honour of using the late Betty Driver’s dressing room.
A show insider told the paper that since Betty died in October, nobody has used her dressing room at Granada studios, however, the show’s bosses felt it fitting that a star such as Vaughn should use the room.
Robert – who of course previously starred in cult American drama The Man From UNCLE – will play the role of wealthy yank Milton, who arrives in Weatherfield looking for Roy Cropper’s mum Sylvia (Stephanie Cole) who he met on a recent cruise.
We’ll see him on our screens for the first time in the New Year.

During an interview with Inside Soap magazine, Corrie star Charlie Condou – who plays Marcus Dent – has revealed that he’d love his character to have a fling with Jason Grimshaw, who’s played by Ryan Thomas.
Of the notion of the affair being written into the show, Charlie said, “Somehow I don’t think it would ever happen…
“But I love Jason. Ryan is one of the loveliest, sweetest men I’ve worked with – he’s naughty and a lot of fun!”
Charlie went on to reveal that fans of the show often ask him when Marcus and Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) are going to get married…
He said, “I think it would be great if they got married.
“There have been lots of rumours, but I’m afraid they’re just that at the moment – rumours.

Corrie actor Ryan Thomas has told Holy Soap magazine that in upcoming weeks, he’ll be seen in a lot more scenes with his on-screen mum Eileen, played by Sue Cleaver.
He explained that his was because his character’s been spending so much time lately with his grieving on-screen girlfriend Tina, played by Michelle Keegan.
But Ryan confirmed that as Jason’s relationship with Tina begins to break down, Jason will be spending a lot more time with Eileen.
