Emmerdale: Jeff Hordley says of Cain Dingle’s rekindled affair with Moira Barton, “He just wants a partner and normality in his life”

Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle has – until recently – always been a bad lad who’s constantly on the lookout for mischief and who never shies away from a fight…

However, since the infamous Judgement Day attack, which saw Cain left fighting for his life after his own dad Zak (Steve Halliwell) beat him nearly to death, Cain has been changing. He’s mellowed out considerably, and has become a caring dad to his daughter Debbie (Charley Webb) and an even more caring granddad to her poorly daughter Sarah.

He’s even struck up a truce with his ex, Charity Sharma (Emma Atkins) for the sake of their daughter, and he’s forgiven his dad for attacking him!

And as Jeff Hordley – who of course plays Cain – has revealed in an interview with the Mirror, when his character reignites his romance with Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) his thoughts turn to settling down and making a long-term partner of Mucky Moira… Read more & comment »

Emmerdale: Mucky Moira and Cain Dingle are at it again!

Fans of Emmerdale will of course recall that when Moira Barton and Cain Dingle embarked on an affair, it was to set into motion a chain of events that culminated in Moira’s husband John dying and her family falling apart…

But apparently, Moira – who’s been dubbed Mucky Moira on set for her bedroom antics, which have included bedding farmhand Alex (Kurtis Stacey) – learns slower than earth worms because she’s about to reignite her passion for village bad lad Cain.

Having said that, Cain (Jeff Hordley) has mellowed out somewhat since his Judgement Day beating at the hands of his dad Zak (Steve Halliwell) and as we saw last week, he even passed up the opportunity to kill Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) when he had the chance… Read more & comment »

Emmerdale star Dominic Power says “Fans want Cameron Murray dead!” And so does Cain Dingle who’s about to attack Cam!

As fans of Emmerdale will know, Cameron Murray killed Carl King by hitting him over the bonce with a brick…

However, prior to his death, Carl had also been attacked by his brother Jimmy (Nick Miles) and of course, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) set about Carl too, believing he was about to rape her.

She is now on remand in prison awaiting trial for Carl’s murder, and though Cameron has vowed to do whatever he can to get her off the charge, that promise evidently doesn’t include confessing.

And while speaking to ITV about his character’s storylines, Dominic Power who of course plays Cameron has revealed that many of the show’s viewers wants Cameron to get his comeuppance, and may even want him dead! Read more & comment »

Emmerdale: Cain Dingle and Moira Barton to become lovers again?!

Fans of Emmerdale will of course know that Moira Barton’s affair with village bad lad Cain Dingle set into motion a chain of events that led to her husband John Barton’s death…

When news of the affair went public last year, Moira was of course vilified in the village, and her own children shunned her for months, refusing even to see her on Christmas Day!

So you’d think perhaps it would be somewhat unwise for Moira (Natalie J Robb) to reopen that can of worms, but on Bonfire night, that’s precisely what she’s going to do when Cain (Jeff Hordley) kisses her, and initially, she can’t help but respond…

However, as the enormity of what she’s doing strikes her, Moira pulls away, disgusted with herself for revisiting her passion with Cain.

But can she stay away? Well, time will tell, but the storyline kicks off when Moira visits Cain to plead for mercy on Chas Dingle’s behalf… Read more & comment »

We all watched with utter amazement at what is already been classed as the best ever live soap episode, beating the likes of its two biggest rivals, Coronation Street and EastEnders who have both attempted similar live broadcasts to mark their own shows anniversaries. According to overnight figures, a peak audience of 9.2m tuned in for the show, the highest-rated episode of the soap to date, with viewing figures reaching their high in the last 15 minutes which saw Carl King (Tom Lister) meet his maker at the hands of Cameron Murray (Dominic Power).

Hollyoaks: Holly Weston (Ash) and David Atkins become soap lands newest off-screen couple!

We love it here at Unreality TV when art mirror’s life in the soap world, and nothing does it better than when two soap actors fall in love after the camera turns off.

In EastEnders you have the young relationships of co-stars Matt Lapinskas (Anthony Moon) and Shona McGarty (Whitney Dean) and the more recent romance between Tony Discipline (Tyler Moon) and Jacqueline Jossa (Lauren Branning).  In Emmerdale there is the bizarre real life marriage between Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle) and Zoe Henry (Rhona the vet) and the engagement between Charley Webb (Debbie Dingle) and Matthew Wolfenden (David Metcalfe).

In Coronation Street the path of true love doesn’t run quite so smooth, with all off-screen romances resulting in one half leaving the show, like Samia Ghadie (Maria Connor) and Will Thorp (Chris the wife-beater) and Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw) and Tina O’Brien (Sarah Louise Grimshaw), who spilt up not long after O’Brien’s departure.

However, now that he has a dingle woman scorned one side, and a suspicious as ever Cain on the other, the love rat finds himself between a rock and a very hard place whilst trying to move on with his life.  Now that Chas has started to stir things up by implying to Debbie that she doesn’t think Cameron should be trusted and that she thought he was up to something, Cain has got hold of this and run with it like a dog with a bone.
