Fans of Corrie will know that Tyrone Dobbs is literally risking life and limb by having an affair with neighbour – and former lover – Fiz Stape, and this week, Alan Halsall who plays Tyrone has been discussing the storyline on the soap’s official website.

And during the course of the interview, he revealed that he’s given his co-star Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz, a stubble rash after kissing her!

Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine has been talking to the Radio Times about her character Fiz Stape, and the fact that as we near Christmas, Fiz is going to embark on a hugely dangerous affair with her former lover, Tyrone Dobbs…

It was reported over the weekend that at Christmas, poor Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) is going to end up fighting for her life after she slips into a coma when she inhales deadly carbon monoxide!

The storyline will apparently begin when Fiz asks her mate Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) to take a look at her dodgy central heating boiler…

But of course, Tyrone’s a mechanic, not a gas boiler engineer, and he doesn’t correctly repair it, so the deadly fumes leak out, unbeknownst to Fiz. But luckily, when the incident occurs, baby Hope will be staying with her uncle Chesney (Sam Aston) and so will of course be safe.

The Daily Mirror report that the show’s bosses have been taking advice from the Gas Safe Register organization in order to make the plot as believable as possible, and to raise awareness to the dangers of carbon monoxide.
