It’s a sight not many people would willing view, but it seems we’re about to see Margaret Thatcher seducing and bedding Tony Blair…
But fortunately, it’s a fictional hook up between the two former Prime Ministers, who’ll be played by Stephen Mangan and Jennifer Saunders for new Channel 4 comedy show, ‘The Hunt for Tony Blair’.
The Daily Mirror states that in one scene of the new show, Mrs Thatcher is featured lying on a chaise longue as she flirts with Blair, saying, “I won my war… you didn’t.”
Later the highly unlikely couple are shown in bed smoking cigarettes. Read more & comment »

Sky Atlantic HD has announced a host of guest stars that will make appearances across its first original comedy commission, This Is Jinsy. Directed by Matt Lipsey (Psychoville, Little Britain), This Is Jinsy is an eccentric eight-part comedy written by and starring newcomers Chris Bran and Justin Chubb.
This Is Jinsy follows Arbiter Maven (Chubb) and Operative Sporall (Bran) as they keep a close eye on the 791 residents of Jinsy from the Great Tower in the parish of Veen. Life on the island is rather Orwellian: each colourful member of the community is monitored by a surveillance system of tessellators, from local folk dribbler Melody Lane to weather monk Tracee Henge. It’s being reported today that well loved comedienne Jennifer Saunders has “successfully battled breast cancer.”
An article in today’s Sun newspaper states, “The Absolutely Fabulous actress, 52, has been given the all clear after eight months of treatment.”
The article goes on to say that Jennifer discovered a lump in her breast last October, and within days, she found out it was cancerous.
Treatment for her cancer ended in June, and friends have described her as being “in very good spirits” since receiving the all clear. Read more & comment »

British comedienne, Jennifer Saunders has accused the BBC of dumbing down and becoming obsessed with populist comedy.
Saunders, 50, told The Daily Mail: “They are not making the kind of comedy we used to do. What they want now is populist programmes because there isn’t the budget to try the more ambitious things we were doing.
“We’ve been stopped from doing lots of sketches we wanted to do. The budgets for that kind of more ambitious stuff just aren’t there now. Really, that’s the reason we’ve decided to stop.”

The Sun has today shocked and surprised Doctor Who fans by reporting that actress Jennifer Saunders is set to be the next Doctor Who.
Apparently, Jennifer will appear as the timelord in one show only and a source told the newspaper:
“She’s in the running and we all think she would be fantastic.”
It’s going to take me a while to get my head round this…..
