This week Jonathan Ross welcomes Jamie Oliver to his BBC One show, Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.
Talking about the nation’s health, Jamie says: “It’s going to be a horror show…the health system is crumbling, and when it’s gone we’ll be so sad because we’re breaking it.
“The last time our government did something radical about health was the Ministry of Food.”
On school dinners, he adds: “It’ll be nine years before we get a service across the board, we’re on track, we need more money for kitchens for every school…we’ve got a government that’s talking about it a lot, I want to know who’s running it so they can do a good job.” Read more & comment »

This week Jonathan Ross welcomes Stevie Wonder to his BBC One show, Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.
In a rare TV interview Stevie Wonder expresses his support for US presidential candidate Barack Obama.
“I’m saying what we need is change in America, we must become a united people. America needs Barack Obama, it’s that simple,” he says.
“When people talk about colour it makes me laugh. I see a spirit in his heart. I believe him and trust that his heart is seeing truth and that’s why I’ll be voting for him, no question. Tonight on BBC One in the last show of the current series of Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, legendary disco soul diva Chaka Khan talks about her own troubled past and why people should try to understand Amy Winehouse.
Chaka tells Jonathan: “She reminds me of myself. I love her. Be really nice to her because she needs a lot of love and support.”

“Fabio Capello is very good, hopefully he’ll knock our boys into shape and [show] how much they can inspire people when they play well.

And she says: “What irritates me is I never see a man being called an auto-cutie.”
She was apprehensive about her Five makeover: “There was anxiety around it, it was a bit of a risk. The clothes were a big thing. They said don’t wear jackets. There was a procession of stylists, only one shirt [of mine] survived… getting my hair to look reasonable is quite a feat, it doesn’t look great natural, it’s really curly.
