Former EastEnders star Kara Tointon – who played Dawn Swann in the show – has admitted that she’s “jealous” that she didn’t get to take part in the recent live episode.
Kara left the show last year when her character was seen leaving Walford with fiancé Garry and daughter Summer.
Speaking to The Sun, Kara said, “The EastEnders live episode was fab, I loved it.
“But it did make me a little jealous that I wasn’t in it.
“The buzz they must have got must have been fantastic. We all went down to watch it being filmed and couldn’t believe how good it was.” Read more & comment »

The Eastenders actress was told that her character Dawn Swann was being axed earlier this year and her finals scenes air on BBC One this summer.
However, she told The Sun that she “dreams” of being able to go back to the BBC One soap one day.
Eastenders actress Kara Tointon has insisted that she is glad to be leaving the soap and says that her character Dawn Swann has had no decent storylines in the last two years.
Tointon told the Sunday Mirror: “Last year was non-existent for me on screen, so I’m ready to move on. Since having baby Summer two years ago, my character didn’t really do anything – I just ordered a sandwich every now and again.”
