GMTV host, Kate Garraway is pregnant for the second time.
“We’re over the moon to be having another baby and Darcey is very excited about having a new brother or sister to play with,” Garraway told The Sun.
“We all can’t wait for the summer arrival.”
Two things about this news stand out for me. Firstly, the fact that she is pregnant will mean that Kate has to take maternity leave, meaning that I can watch GMTV again. Secondly, now that she will have a real life baby of her own, she can stop breastfeeding cows for a while, I’m sure the cattle population will be pleased.

GMTV presenter Kate Garraway says that Ulrika Jonsson will not replace Fiona Phillips On the GMTV’s sofa as she is under qualified for the job.
She told The Mirror: “It’s very unlikely she will get the job. She is not a journalist and the job needs someone that has those skills. Everyone else does. I would really love the job, but I will stay on, whatever happens.”
Garraway suggested that Phillips’s departure would be “good for the company. It is time for a change, time for a shake-up.”

The final film in G-Spot , the female-led documentary strand. Kate Garraway – herself the mother of a two-year-old daughter – investigates the pros and cons of cross-feeding, breast-milk donation and wet-nursing by meeting some of the growing numbers of women who share each other’s milk.
The people Kate meets include sisters who cross-feed their babies; women who are able to breast-feed even though they have never been pregnant; surrogate mothers who produce two gallons of milk a week for donation; and a cancer sufferer who believes breast milk has cured his condition.

Fiona Philips announced last week that she is leaving GMTV after 15 years of hosting the show. Last night she spoke honestly about her co-worker, kate Garraway, and claimed she would be glad to see her gone.
Kate failed to get in touch with Fiona after she announced her decision to leave, a move which obviously offended Philips.
“She is probably quite pleased that I am going. I have the top job. It wouldn’t be natural and she’d be lying if she said she didn’t want it,” Phillips told the Daily Mail. “It doesn’t annoy me that I haven’t heard from her. Nor am I basing any of my decisions on how she feels.”
