Steven Shill has been asked to direct the new 2 hour Knight Rider pilot for NBS TV network.

The popular 80’s TV show is due to return to our screens later next year, but thankfully not with David Kasslehoff behind the wheel.

It was originally thought that Doug Liman, who is executive producing the project, would direct the pilot, but due to prior commitments this was viewed as impossible.

Shill is by no means cheap seconds though, having shows like The Sopranos, The Wire, Rome, Carnivàle, Deadwood and Big Love under his belt!

Hit 80s TV show, Knight Rider looks set to hit our screens again, but fortunately not with David Hasslehoff at the wheel.

US TV network NBC is to make a two hour pilot for the show next year and depending on its outcome a movie deal could be in the pipeline.
