In 2011 ITV screened five-part supernatural drama Marchlands which followed the story of the titular house over three different periods and explored the live of the families that lived there all of whom were linked by a common bond. Marchlands was successful enough to warrant a follow-up and that follow-up has arrived this week in the form of Lightfields which once again tells a story of three different families in three different decades who once again are linked by one tragic event.

Kris Marshall, who formerly played the role of Nick Harper in My Family, and who is the face of BT’s ads, has reportedly been found drunk and asleep at the wheel of his car.

The Sun reports that police discovered Kris sleeping in his Jaguar outside a Tesco store a few days ago.

The paper also states that when police woke the actor, they discovered that his key was in the car’s ignition, so he was therefore arrested on suspicion of being drunk in charge of a vehicle.

He gave a positive breathalyzer test at the scene, and though he gave that voluntarily, he was apparently “aggrieved” that he’d been arrested since he believed he was being a responsible driver by “sleeping it off.” Read more & comment »

Actor Kris Marshall – who formerly starred in My Family and US sitcom Traffic Light – has been charged with driving offences after failing to supply police with a breath test.

38 year old Kris was reportedly in a Tesco car park in Somerset on Saturday morning when police asked him to provide a breath test. He allegedly refused charged, as so was charged with failing to supply a specimen of breath while being the person in charge of a motor vehicle.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said that Kris has been released on bail and is due to appear in front of South Somerset Magistrates on October 13. Read more & comment »

Kris Marshall will star as ‘Carter’, Joanna Page as ‘Jeannie’, Ella Smith as ‘Helen’ and Robert Webb as ‘Tom’ in the UK premiere of Neil LaBute’s comedy “FAT PIG”, which will open at the Trafalgar Studios in London on Tuesday 27 May, following previews from 16 May. The limited season will finish on 6 September.

Robert Webb is one half of the duo ‘Mitchell & Webb’, who are one of the most popular comic acts in the country and who are behind hit television shows, such as “Peep Show” and “That Mitchell & Webb Look”. Kris Marshall was recently on the West End stage with Billie Piper in ‘Treats’ and his television credits include starring as ‘Nick’ in “My Family”; his film credits include “Death at a Funeral”, “The Merchant of Venice” and playing ‘Colin’ in “Love Actually”. Joanna Page stars as ‘Stacey’ in the BBC comedy series “Gavin and Stacey” and can also currently be seen in “Love Soup”; her film credits include “Gideon’s Daughter” and starring in “Love Actually” and she was recently seen with Ian McKellen in the Old Vic stage production of “Alladin”. Former My Family actor, Kris Marshall, has been admitted to intensive care after being hit by a car and sustaining head injuries.

The 34-year-old star of BT broadband ads was on a night out in Bristol city centre when the accident happened.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset police said: “There was a collision between a car and pedestrian shortly before 1am on Sunday.

“It happened in St Augustine’s Parade in Bristol City Centre. A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with head injuries not considered to be life-threatening. Read more & comment »
