In an interview with This Morning, Corrie star Kym Marsh spoke about her premature baby son’s death in February, and described her grief as “very, very painful”.

Archie Jay was born 18 weeks prematurely and died soon after his birth, which has led Kym to reveal that she’s afraid of becoming pregnant again.

During the interview, Kym said, “You do go home and your body is still doing all the things it would normally do (after giving birth) but you have no baby.

“So it’s very, very hard to try and channel all those feelings somewhere else.

“It’s very difficult… there kind of wasn’t an awful lot of support afterwards, so you just leave with leaflets.

“I obviously haven’t really divulged too much about what happened to me and I don’t intend to do that because that’s something that is still very, very painful for me to talk about.” Read more & comment »

In February this year Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh gave birth to baby boy Archie at just 21 weeks and five days. Sadly he died after a few moments of life.

There are over 50 000 babies born prematurely each year in the UK, one of the highest rates in Europe. The numbers are still rising, yet there is currently no accurate screening test available to identify women at risk. Prematurity is the greatest cause of infant death in Britain.

Coronation Street star Kym Marsh stayed close to Jamie Lomas’ sisters, despite the fact that she and the actor are no longer dating.

The 33-year-old actress has become close to Lomas’s sister Cassie and half-sister Charley Webb, best known as Emmerdale’s Debbie Dingle.

A source told Now: “Charley actually introduced Kym and Jamie, and his sister Cassie still often does Kym’s make-up.

Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh has reportedly claimed to be “destroyed” by her split from Jamie Lomas.

According to Now magazine, Marsh told her friends and family: “I wanted marriage, babies, the works. I never thought this would happen in a million years. In the end, it was like living with a stranger and then he suddenly wanted out. I’m destroyed by it.”

An insider added: “When she spoke about wedding bells last year, Kym really meant it – this relationship was for keeps.

Soap stars Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas have split up.

The pair dated for 15 months but are said to have found it difficult to recover from the death of their baby son in February.

One friend told The Sun: “His death hit them for six and they were both devastated by it.

“But they had not been together long so they found it hard to deal with. Often couples in that situation have a shared history which helps them get over it – but they didn’t have that.”

Now magazine is reporting that Coronation Street star Kym Marsh broke down and was inconsolable at a friend’s wedding recently.

Kym and her fiancé Jamie Lomas were attending the wedding in Majorca which was around the same time that her son Archie should’ve been born. He was of course born prematurely and died just days afterwards.

A source from the wedding told Now, “Kym just crumpled when she saw all the pregnant women there. It reminded her of losing Archie”

It’s being speculated that perhaps Kym returned to work and tried to get life back to normal too soon after her son’s death. Another source who’s said to be close to Kym is quoted as saying, “She thought it’d be best to come back to the Street and get back into a normal routine.” Read more & comment »

The Daily Star has broke some news about an upcoming storyline on Coronation Street.

The newspaper reports that the ITV soap will play host to a complicated storyline this summer, as three women battle it out for the attention of two men.

Michelle Connor returns to the street to find that Luke Strong is developing an interest in Rosie Webster, whilst Leanne Battersby is none to amused to find that Michelle was also dating her ex, Peter Barlow.

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has thanked her co-stars for their support after the death of her baby son.

Kym and Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas lost their baby Archie in February, just hours after he was born 18 weeks early.

“You know it’s been a long old struggle, but we’ve had a lot of support from our family and friends, which has really helped, and everybody at work has been great,” said Kym. “Everybody’s support has just been great, so we really appreciate that.”

The newborn baby son of Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas has died after being born 18 weeks early.

Kym went into hospital on Wednesday night and baby Archie Jay Lomas was born soon after, sadly the little boy died just hours later.

In a statement, Marsh said: “Archie is our beautiful angel and we will miss him so much.”

Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has told her boyfriend to commit to her properlyor face being dumped.

Kym has been dating Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas for four months but the couple have reportedly been arguing a lot recently, including one very public row at a party last month.

According to Now, a source close to the couple commented that the two are not seeing eye to eye.

“He’s told her to stop being so paranoid, but she’s feeling insecure and just can’t help herself,” said the source.

“Jamie doesn’t do as he’s told. He’s not a lapdog and it means Kym has to get used to not having it all her own way. She’s even been checking his phone, but found nothing. She told friends that she thought she was well within her rights.”

Maybe the Steve-Becky storyline has made her more suspicious in real-life too.

Coronation Street actress, Kym Marsh, has revealed that she hopes her character Michelle Connor and partner Steve MacDonald never get married.

“For the characters that would be lovely but for me, as an actress, I would hate for them to get married,” Marsh told Hot TV magazine. “They wouldn’t be happy for long and I love playing the ups and downs of their relationship. It gives us the drama and the comedy.”

The pair showed up together at this week’s Inside Soap awards and even snogged for the cameras.

Lomas told the Daily Star: “Of course we are so happy, just look at the smile on her face! I guess you can say we’ve come clean about what has been going on.”

Marsh added: “I couldn’t be happier.”
