Fans of the spectacularly amazing BBC drama series, Sherlock, will be happy to know that both Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman have signed up for the third series when it starts filming in the New Year.

In an episode entitled A Scandal in Belgravia, Lara played the role of kinky dominatrix Irene Adler, who appeared before detective Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) in the buff, aside from a pair of killer heels, a lot of red lippy and a dazzling smile.
The episode became the most watched show ever on BBC’s iPlayer, and today, the PA reveal how Lara landed the role; by sending in a tape of herself naked by way of a pre-audition taster for the show’s bosses.
At the time of the episode airing – which prompted many viewers to complain to Ofcom about the raunchy scenes – the show’s co-creator, Steven Moffat, said one of the things in Lara’s favour when he was casting the role was the sense of “fun” she brought to the role… Read more & comment »

As fans of Sherlock will know, when Lara Pulver – in the role of lesbian dominatrix Irene Adler – stripped off and went about her business with a whip, some viewers were angered at the scenes, which were shown before the 9pm watershed.
However, while speaking to the Radio Times about the controversy surrounding her nude scenes, actress Lara has revealed that the show’s bosses gave her the opportunity to wear some clothing during filming.
But it seems, keen to get the filming done, Lara refused, and decided to bare all to expedite the shoot.
While explaining that the show’s director told her she could wear an “invisible” bra and pants, Lara added that he then made the point that filming would take a while longer in order to avoid showing bra straps and panty lines.
She said, “The director very sweetly said to me, ‘The choice is we spend hours shooting it to avoid seeing straps or we take all that off and shoot it quickly…’ Read more & comment »
