In this weeks episode of Lead Balloon Rick gets caught speeding - not for the first time. Three more points on his licence will take him close to a ban, so he tries to persuade first Mel, then Marty and Madga into saying they were driving his car. Meanwhile local café owner, Michael, manages to railroad Rick into doing a fund-raiser to save their local library from closure. On top of it all, his daughter Sam has decided to get a tattoo done.

Jack Dee returns tonight at 9.30 on BBC Two, as Rick Spleen in the second series of the critically acclaimed comedy Lead Balloon.
Rick’s back and, as he will tell you, he’s on the way up: his career is going from strength to strength and he’s never been so popular. In other words, he’s still the same old self-deluded liar.
In tonight’s opening episode, Rick appears as a “Celebrity Oracle”, on day-time quiz show Trick Or Treat. Meanwhile, back at home, trouble is brewing as Magda (Anna Crilly), his surly Eastern European help, has finally handed in her notice.
