Leslie Ash joins the cast of medical drama Holby City five years after she contracted a hospital infection which almost ended her career.
Leslie will play top executive Vanessa Lytton and start filming with the Holby City team in June.
After five years, Leslie is delighted to be back working in British television.
She says: “I hadn’t been to an audition since I was 19 – I was scared! But I feel ready and I feel strong.
Actress, Leslie Ash has revealed that she wanted to hide away after suffering an allergic reaction to lip implants she has in 2003.
Ash told The Mirror: “The media had a field day and I became a figure of fun. Ashamed of the way I looked, I wanted to hide away but that was impossible because I was still filming the BBC TV drama Mersey Beat.
“I can remember feeling wretched and helpless, standing in the middle of a field on location in Liverpool shouting up to the sky: ‘No!’”
Leslie added that she had used the same surgeon for a similar procedure in 2001 with no problems. Read more & comment »
