Fans of EastEnders will of course know that Sharon Rickman (Letitia Dean) is battling with her addiction to painkillers while trying to maintain the façade of normality for the benefit of those around her…
However, she has of course already had to confess to Lola (Danielle Harold) that she has a problem – after she collapsed following an overdose and Lola found her – but Sharon promised her that she was dealing with it.
But this week, when Sharon yet again overdoses and lapses into unconsciousness, she puts little Lexi’s life at risk because when she passes out, the infant is unsupervised, which Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) discovers when he comes home unexpectedly… Read more & comment »

Fans of EastEnders will know that Sharon Rickman (Letitia Dean) hasn’t had a great time of it of late, and has of course broken up with Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) after he ditched her at the altar…
And things are made a hundred times worse when her son Dennis rebels against being made to move out of Jack’s place and into Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden). The poor little boy is furious with his mum over her split from Jack, and of course, he’s too young to understand it wasn’t his mum’s fault at all.
However, things come to a head for Dennis when, after he spots Jack in the café and runs over to him, throwing his arms around him – Dennis of course calls Jack ‘dad’ – only to have Sharon yell at him to follow her and leave… Read more & comment »

Fans of EastEnders may recall that we recently reported that Sharon Rickman is set to call off her wedding to Jack Branning on the big day after she finds out he’s been in contact with his ex-wife, jailbird Ronnie…
And today, it’s been revealed that Sharon (Letitia Dean) is set to run into Phil Mitchell’s arms on the rebound from Jack (Scott Maslen) which is of course revisiting a plotline that had the nation glued to their tellyboxes back in the nineties when Sharon and Phil (Steve McFadden) had a torrid affair while she was married to Phil’s brother, Grant.
The Sun’s TV Biz reports that the forthcoming plot twist will see the couple setting up home together on the Square.
A show insider said, “Phil and Sharon are two of EastEnders’ biggest characters and they’ve always had feelings for each other… Read more & comment »

Fans of EastEnders will know that Sharon Rickman is due to wed her fiancé Jack Branning next month, however, it’s been reported today that recidivist bride Sharon is set to call the wedding off at the eleventh hour after learning that Jack has been contacting his former wife, jailbird Ronnie.
And according to the Daily Mirror, Sharon’s decision not to marry Jack (Scott Maslen) could pave the way for a romance with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) which has of course been brewing ever since Sharon (Letitia Dean) arrived back in Walford last year.
But of the forthcoming wedding day drama, a show insider said, “Sharon hoped her wedding day would be one of the happiest days of her life… Read more & comment »

After months of searching it would seem that bosses at Downton Abbey have finally found a suitable actor to play a new love interest for Lady Mary, but with three new male actors being cast, the question remains which one will be Mr Right?
Bosses at Downton Abbey confirmed earlier this year how, after the untimely death of Matthew Crawley (Dan Stevens), his widow Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) would be finding a new male companion in the fourth series, which has just begun filming.

As we reported earlier this week, in the New Year, Phil Mitchell is set to propose to Sharon Rickman, and unlike the last time he placed an engagement ring on her finger, this time his offer of marriage is a real one!
However, Phil (Steve McFadden) isn’t the only Walford male hearing the sound of wedding bells in his head as it turns out that Sharon’s boyfriend Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) is also going to propose to her.
And as I mentioned in the title of this post, I wonder if Sharon (Letitia Dean) holds some kind of a record for having the most proposals of marriage ever, because of course she nearly married fiancé John Hewland – who she ditched at the altar before returning to the Square earlier this year – and prior to that, she was married to Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman).
Before Dennis, Sharon was married to Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) and before that even – in 1987 – Sharon was engaged to curate Duncan Boyd, but she later called off the wedding. And in 2002, Sharon was engaged to Tom Banks, but he died while rescuing Little Mo Slater from a house that her violent ex-husband had set alight… Read more & comment »

EastEnders characters Sharon Rickman and Phil Mitchell have a lot of history, given that she was formerly married to Phil’s brother Grant (Ross Kemp) but went on to have an affair with Phil (Steve McFadden).
And they’ve revisited that romance once or twice over the years, and Phil has always been Sharon’s first port of call in a crisis…
And it was of course the crisis of her split from fiancé John earlier this year – after she ditched him at the altar and he then kidnapped her son Dennis – that brought Sharon back to Walford on Phil’s metaphoric white steed when she called him for help.
Subsequently, Sharon (Letitia Dean) has agreed to help Phil in his attempt to get custody of his granddaughter Lexi by pretending that they’re a couple and that they’re engaged… Read more & comment »

It looks like the baby Lexi storyline currently running on EastEnders may have a happy ending after all, if pictures in today’s Sun newspaper are anything to go by!
Fans of the award-winning BBC1 soap will know how teenage mum, Lola (Danielle Harold) is currently fighting to get her baby back after social services took her into care a few weeks ago.

In episodes of EastEnders which will air on October 11th and 12th, we’ll see that Sharon Rickman decides it’s finally time to tell her son Dennis the truth about how his dad died.
As fans of the show will know, Sharon (Letitia Dean) has been telling little Dennis that his dad died a hero’s death, fighting for his country overseas and only after he’d saved a number of other lives.
But of course, the sordid truth is that Dennis Snr – who was played by Nigel Harman – was stabbed to death in the street outside the Queen Vic after gangster Johnny Allen hired a hit man to kill him.
However, the fairytale lie that Sharon has been telling Dennis is shattered when Derek Branning (Jamie Foreman) deliberately mentions in front of Sharon’s son that Dennis Snr., was stabbed to death … Read more & comment »

In forthcoming episodes of EastEnders, not only are we about to learn the identity of Kat Moon’s lover – finally – but we’ll also see proof, were it needed, that Derek Branning (Jamie Foreman) is just plain wicked…
More on Kat (Jessie Wallace) and her lover in a moment, but first, Derek shows that he’s a thoroughly heartless git when he reveals, within earshot of Sharon’s son Dennis, that his dad, Dennis Snr., was murdered.
We have of course seen that Sharon (Letitia Dean) has fabricated a far more palatable story for how Denny’s dad died, telling her son that he was in the army and that he died a hero after saving several lives.
The truth is of course a rather sordid tale, given that Dennis – who was played by the gorgeous Nigel Harman – was stabbed to death in the street outside the Queen Vic by one of Johnny Allen’s henchman… Read more & comment »

In tonight’s visit to Walford, the big dark secret that Sharon Rickman’s been harbouring is finally revealed; she’s a drug addict!
However, her weapon of choice is painkillers, both prescription and over-the-counter, and after a stressful showdown with Phil (Steve McFadden) Sharon feels the urge to turn to her little round friends, but instead, she heads off to find a support group.
The storyline begins when Sharon (Letitia Dean) goes to see Phil, and he tells her that he wants her to run the Queen Vic for him instead of R&R. However, because of the plethora of bad memories that the pub holds for her, she tells him she can’t do it.
However, Phil – who’s stressed out and upset having heard that his son Ben is being tried on the more serious charge of the murder of Heather Trott and not the lesser charge of manslaughter – furiously counters that if she refuses, he’ll sack her from the club too… Read more & comment »

As fans of EastEnders will know, Sharon Rickman and Phil Mitchell have a lot of history, most notably that they had an affair while Sharon (Letitia Dean) was married to Phil’s brother Grant!
So since Sharon returned to Walford, we’ve been expecting that she and Phil might rekindle their former passion, and so when today the Daily Star reported that Sharon and Phil are about to get engaged, it seemed of course that they were indeed to revisit their former love.
However, there’s to be a twist apparently because although Sharon will become engaged to Phil (Steve McFadden) she’s going to continue her relationship with Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) who will be fully aware that the engagement is a sham.
The show’s bosses are staying tightlipped about the circumstances of the mystery engagement, however, an insider said, “Phil and Sharon are going to get engaged but it’s part of a bigger storyline involving the couple… Read more & comment »
