Lily Allen is all set for a guest appearance on Australian soap opera Neighbours.
The 24-year-old singer will film a scene with Mark Werkmeister, who plays Ramsay Street’s Zeke Kinski, when she visits Melbourne next month as part of her world tour.
Mark told the Neighbours website: “I’m freaking out, I’ll be star-struck for sure but will try my hardest to stay professional.”

Lily Allen has revealed that she would love to star in old style TV show, Miss Marple. I wouldn’t have thought it would be her cup of tea.
The Fear singer told New! magazine that she’s a huge fan of the show and would love a role in it. “Really, I love the show, it’s well written and has a great cast and I think I’d be great in it,” she claimed.

Well we’ve got the new Doctor in the form of Matt Smith, so the question now is, who’s going to be his assistant and who do you want it to be?
The current speculation is that given Matt Smith’s a relatively unknown face on our screens, a more established actor is likely to be brought in as his companion. I think it’s safe to assume she’ll be young, like Matt, too. Read more & comment »

Pop singer Lily Allen is said to be a firm favourite as the new Doctor Who assistant.
Just this week the BBC have announced who the eleventh Doctor will be and now the search is on for his companion in the series.
Executive producer Piers Wenger explained to The Sun what he was looking for in a new assistant, saying: “Someone terribly exciting like Billie Piper, who was at the beginning of her acting career but who had a profile for other reasons, would be great.

Lily Allen has done the decent thing and admitted that her BBC Three chat show was dire.
Lily told The Sun that she thought it was a waste of license payers money but thanked them for the thousands of pounds that she was paid to host the show.
She said: “It was a period when I decided not to be a singer or go on tour.
“I made a lot of money out of it. Thank you, licence-payers — that was very nice of you. You think Russell Brand is your problem. Actually, it’s me.”

Lily Allen has blamed the stress associated with her BBC Three TV show for her recent weight gain.
‘I don’t look great at all. I’ve put on so much weight with all the stress of my TV show. I’m glad it’s over,’ said Lily to Grazia magazine.
Lily plans to get back into shape now that filming on her first series has stopped.
‘Now the show is over I am sure I will lose some weight, just naturally as well as exercising in the gym twice a week. Read more & comment »

The BBC have been slammed by the National Teachers Union for showing a clip on the Lily Allen show of a teacher getting his trousers pulled down in front of the whole classroom last night.
Funnily enough as I was watching the show I experienced a bit of discomfort when this clip aired, but thought it was my old age catching up with me. Gerard over on our forum also had some concerns about the theme of last night’s clips.
So what do you think? Are these clips just plain funny, or should Lily Allen be more careful with her content in future?

Lily Allen has spoke out today about claims that a large number of her audience walked out while she was recording her first chat show this week.
On her MySpce page Lily commented on the newspapers which “insinuated a third of the audience left because they were bored of the content of the show, when in fact, due to it being the FIRST show we’ve done we ran over a little and naturally a small number of the audience had to catch the last trains back to wherever they came from.”
So do you believe her? I suppose we’ll just have to watch the show itself and see how bad it really is.

Poor Lily Allen, it looks like her month is just getting worse and worse! Just a few weeks ago she suffered the tragedy of a miscarriage, then her boyfriend broke up with her, and now her big TV break looks like it may also flounder.
Lily’s first chat show for BBC Three was recorded at Pinewood studios on Friday night, but reports have emerged saying that the audience were less than enthusiasic about the content and comedy.
One of the fans who walked out told The Mail On Sunday: “Everyone really, really wanted it to work for Lily. She is such a lovely person but all the jokes fell flat and she seemed very nervous. It just did not work.
“I do think she’s got a nice voice but she didn’t sing at all. I think everyone was expecting she would.”
Another guest added: “We were all standing about, getting quite tired.
“She was halfway through her interview with David Mitchell when she seemed to forget the questions and launched into an attack on all the horrible things people had written about her on online chat forums.
“It was terrible. Even David Mitchell had to remind her not to criticise the very people who would be watching the show.” Read more & comment »
