The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that US TV network, ABC has started negotiations with Lost stars Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly to boost their pay, currently at about $150,000 per episode.
The network tried to keep the talks on the QT, but by last Friday word leaked and agents of the more minor characters in the show were bombarding show bosses to open their own renegotiations. The majority of the “Lost” supporting actors and actresses earn around $80,000-90,000 per episode.
Lost season three is currently being repeated on Sky Two each afternoon.
Lost star, Matthew Fox has revealed that before he even thought about making a career out of acting, his intention was to move into the world of finance, and become a stock broker on Wall Street.
Lost star Fox majored in economics at Columbia University but decided against pursuing it as a career when he was laughed at for wearing cheap shoes to an interview.
While promoting his newest movie, Vantage Point, Fox revealed:
“I went to this interview and I’d had economics all going on in my head - which to be honest was largely to do with seeing Oliver Stone’s Wall Street.
“I borrowed a suit that was two inches too short… borrowed some penny loafers also. I was so broke. There’s four or five guys all in their mid to late 20s there. We get through the interview and we’re all standing around in a circle ready to go and they’re saying, ‘Yeah you gotta join us, it’s all gonna be great’. Read more & comment »
Lost actor, Naveen Andrews, has blasted the callous TV and mocie industry in a recent interview with Metro.
Andrews, who plays Sayid Jarrah in the hit US drama admits to being shocked and angry at some of the things he has seen occur whilst on set.
He said:
“When you see a stuntman get badly injured and you see how callous the industry is, that can be hard.
“Someone’s just been carted off in an ambulance, having nearly killed themselves, and you carry on filming. That hasn’t happened on Lost, but I’ve been on films where it has.”
Ruben Royce, 23, has pleaded guilty to holding Lost star, Josh Holloway hostage at his home in 2005.
Royce is said to have not been aware that he had targetted a TV star as part of his robbing spree, “basically, he was driving around looking for fancy cars, nice homes and picked certain ones for home invasion,” prosecutor Maurice Arrisgado said.
Royce, who pleaded guilty to offences including kidnapping, first-degree robbery, burglary and auto theft, will be sentenced on 29 April.

Matthew Fox, who plays Dr. Jack Shepard on hit US TV show, Lost, has given a great interview to Entertainment Weekly this week. Fox spills the beans on season four of the show and also talks about the massive finale on season three.
Fox enthused:
“I was walking around with the cat-that-ate-the-canary look on my face. And when I would get questioned on it, I would say, ‘I can’t say anything, but, man, I can’t wait for you to find out.’ Even a lot of the crew didn’t know. When the scripts went out, the last scene of the episode was missing. So when we started shooting, the crew was just like, ‘Oh my God!’” Fox said.
He also tals about about the supernatural elements of the show coming to the forefront in Season 4. “Last year, we find out Jack and Kate are off the island. How the f— did that happen? And why does he want to go back? In answering those questions, you have to start addressing the bigger, epic scope of the show. In doing that, you’re going to get into questions about the show that the audience is just dying to start finding out. What is this island? Where is this island? When is this island?”

Lost fans have been disappointed in recent weeks with the news that all new episodes have been put on hold due to the US writers strike. However, there is some good news on the horizon as ABC broadcasts the first of it’s Lost webisodes.
The series of two- to three-minute vignettes — collectively known as “Missing Pieces” — kicks off with “The Watch,” focusing on Matthew Fox’s character. The micro-stories aren’t deleted scenes — they’re newly-shot material that fits into the larger Lost saga; it’s up to the fans to figure out where they belong. A new Webisode will post on ABC.com each Monday.
