The Mail Online has today landed some fabulous pictures, of the devastating plane crash planned for the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives.
Does the plane look familiar to you? That’s possibly because it is rumoured to be the infamous Oceanic Airlines flight often referred to in hit show, Lost. Nice crossover eh?
With the season five DVD of Lost about to be released, executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof reveal insider secrets from the writers’ room, as well as their inspirations behind the show in its penultimate season…
Lost fans seem ecstatic that questions are finally being answered in season five. Was this a conscious move by the show’s producers?
DAMON LINDELOF: In season five, we feel the biggest mistake we could have made was to hold onto all of the really big answers for season six. We wanted people to get to the end of the fifth season of the show and be more excited than ever before. And to that end I think we’re giving a lot of answers in the fifth season so that season six can be more character focused.
Matthew Fox plays Jack Shephard in the award-winning drama, Lost. With the season five DVD
about to be released, the accomplished actor talks about fame, family and learning to fly…
When did you first realize that Lost was going to be such a huge international success?
“It took a little while to realize the show would do well internationally, although I knew it was going to be successful in the States because the viewing figures for the pilot were huge. There was a lot of buzz about the show before we even went on air and I knew the show was very good, as well as very different to anything else on television at the time. You know what? I think the show is pretty special and it deserves all this attention.”
We already know that the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives will feature a huge plane crash on Wisteria Lane and sources have hinted that the fallen airplane may just be from Lost’s Oceanic Airline.
Lost star Michael Emerson has admitted that he would love to be cast in vampire drama, True Blood.
Ideally, Emerson, who plays Ben Linus on Lost, would like to star opposite his wife Carrie Preston (Arlene Fowler) on the show.
“I think it would be fun if I got to play her father,” he told Extra.
“I would go on any Alan Ball show to do just about anything. I will be the face in the window, I will be the cab driver… I don’t want to be a vampire.”
Japanese movie star Hiroyuki Sanada is to join the cast of Lost for the show’s final season.
The Last Samurai actor will join the castaways next year and while Lost bosses have refused to discuss Sanada’s character, EW.com reports it will be a “significant recurring” role.
The title for the season premiere episode of Lost’s season six has been revealed.
A Lost video on YouTube reveals that the episode will be titled ‘LA X’. Of course LAX is code for Los Angeles airport where the doomed Oceanic flight 815 was headed.
Heroes actor Greg Grunberg has admitted that he has been asked to return to Lost for its final season. I bet he was offered a much larger fee this time round!
Grunberg appeared in the pilot of Lost as Seth Norris, pilot of Oceanic 815. He also returned for a brief cameo in season four.
“If NBC will allow it, I will go back,” Grunberg told TV Guide Magazine.
Lost star Josh Holloway has admitted that he wants nothing more than to be a good dad to the little girl who makes his ‘heart explode.’
Holloway, who plays Sawyer in the ABC cult series, became a father for the first time when his wife gave birth to Java Kumala Holloway three months ago.
Yesterday during their Comic Con appearance, Lost producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof showed three videos to the crowd.
The first was the above ad for Oceanic Airlines. The clip is packed full of clues, the first being the revelation that the company has existed since 1979, possibly explaining last season’s jump back to the 70’s. Anyone spot any more?
Lost fans really are being spoilt this week! Loads of spoilers for the sixth season of the show are emerging via Comic Con and now ABC have only gone and opened their very own Lost University.
