Madonna is embarrassed as her mic picks up complaints over flower gift (VIDEO)

Madonna was left with a bit of a red face yesterday, after she forgot to switch her microphone off before complaining about a gift given to her by a fan.

The ‘Like A Virgin’ hitmaker was promoting her new movie ‘W.E’ at the Venice Film Festival press conference, when she was handed a large purple hydrangea.

Lea Michele wants Madonna for Glee

Glee star Lea Michele has confessed that she would love Madonna to on the hit American show.

After Gwyneth Paltrow’s acclaimed performance on the show last month, the actress who plays Rachael Berry told Showbiz Spy:

“We all loved the Madonna show we did but we are hoping to do a part two with Madonna,” she said.

Graham Norton wants to do Madonna show

Chat show host Graham Norton has revealed that he is desperate to interview Madonna on his BBC show.

The camp Irish comedian admitted that he would be happy to dedicate a whole episode of ‘The Graham Norton Show’ to the ‘Like A Virgin’ singer, if she would agree to be his guest.

Graham told The Mirror: “She’s my Holy Grail of chat show guests. Why the hell would she do it though? But, if we’re on the air long enough, hopefully there will come a day when she’ll come on.”

Glee in talks for more Madonna episodes


According to Entertainment Weekly, Glee creator Ryan Murphy is already in talks with Madonna’s representatives to make another episode of the hit US show featuring her songs.

The episode featuring songs from Madonna’s hugely successful album, Material Girl, aired in the States on Tuesday and attracted record viewings.

In a statement released EW’s website, Ryan said, “Madonna and her people are into it and want it to happen.”

Tuesday’s show was watched by nearly 13 million viewers, and Madonna herself labeled the episode, “brilliant on every level”. Read more & comment »

Madonna praises Glee

Pop legend Madonna has told Us magazine that she’s delighted that two of her hit songs – Express Yourself and Vogue – were used in an episode of Glee…

The 51 year old singer told the magazine, “I thought the Madonna episode of Glee was brilliant on every level.

“The dialogue and the entire script was genius. I completely appreciated the layers of irony, especially when all those macho boys sang ‘What It Feels Like For A Girl’.

VH1 announces Madonna week

To celebrate the release of Madonna’s definitive greatest album collection, Celebration, VH1 is dedicating a whole week of programmes to the ultimate queen of pop and reinvention.

Highlights of the week include, Madonna: The Official All Time Top 50 on Wednesday 21 September at 7pm, and the week of programming will close with Madonna’s Confessions Tour Live on Friday 25 September at 9pm, this is a week of programmes not to be missed if you’re a Madonna fan.

Madonna hoping to land David Tennant for ‘Wallis’ musical

Madonna is reportedly trying to land David Tennant and Cate Blanchett in a new musical titled ‘Wallis.’

Madonna thinks the pair would make a great King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson, the American divorcée for whom he abdicated the throne in 1936. She is hoping to produce and direct the musical focusing on their lives.

A source told The Sun: “The final script is now written and the locations have been scouted. Madonna is now trying to assemble the cast and put the finances in place.

Sky To Broadcast Madonna and Girls Aloud’s Tours

Sky1 have announced an exclusive deal to broadcast Madonna and Girls Aloud’s most recent tours. Madonna: Sticky and Sweet and Girls Aloud: ‘Out Of Control’ Live from the 02 will be broadcast on Sky1 and Sky1 HD in July and August respectively.

Madonna: Sticky and Sweet features the iconic star’s greatest hits and songs from her latest studio album, Hard Candy. The controversial, record-breaking tour, recorded at Buenos Aires’ River Plate Stadium in December 2008, features four sections ‘Pimp,’ ‘Old School,’ ‘Gypsy’ and ‘Rave’ and has won universal praise with The Times remarking, “In the premiere league of song-and-dance spectaculars, the queen of pop remains unrivalled and undefeated.” The deal also gives Sky1 the rights to a special 15 minute behind-the-scenes film to be broadcast alongside the tour, giving fans an intimate portrait of one of the world’s most enigmatic stars.

Girls Aloud: ‘Out Of Control’ Live from the 02features Britain’s brightest pop starlets on their sell-out UK tour. Recorded in May 2009, the tour comprises a selection of their greatest hits from the last seven years and songs from their latest studio album, Out Of Control.
