Former EastEnders star John Partridge has revealed that he thinks bosses at the award-winning BBC soap should cast more “hot new gays” now that he and his on-screen husband, Marc Elliot, have left the show!
Partridge, who had played openly gay Christian Clarke for almost five years, made the decision to quit the show when Elliot, who played Syed Masood, left last year.

Fans of EastEnders will of course know that Albert Square baddie Derek Branning is set to die at Christmas, and though the details about his death are being kept firmly under wraps, it’s widely expected that Derek is going to be murdered…
The big question of course is, by whom?
Well, bookmakers are taking bets on whodunit and currently, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) is William Hill’s favourite to turn out to be a killer, with the assumption being that he tops Del after finding out he is the Branning brother who’s been having an affair with Alfie’s wife, Kat (Jessie Wallace).
However, there are other Walford residents in the frame too, and they include Derek’s brothers Max (Jake Wood) and Jack (Scott Maslen) and while my personal theory about what reason Max could have to bump off his brother is that it’ll transpire he had an affair with Tanya (Jo Joyner) I can’t see what reason Jack would have to kill him. Can you? Read more & comment »

As fans of EastEnders will know, Syed Masood and Christian Clarke have had more than their fair share of troubles in their romance – which has been dubbed ‘Chryed’ by fans – and in upcoming episodes, they face their biggest test yet when Christian announces he’s off to America!
And in spoiler images that we saw earlier in the week, we saw Syed (Marc Elliott) throwing Christian’s belongings onto the street in his fury after he hears that his lover is leaving Walford for good.
And as if that wasn’t bad enough, Syed’s ex-wife Amira (Preeya Kalidas) is also going to take their daughter Yasmin – who’s been living with Syed and Christian for months – to live with her and her new husband in Birmingham.
So it seemed that Syed was to be left a broken man, and that Chryed really was over… Read more & comment »

As we reported recently, EastEnders lovers Syed and Christian – who are affectionately known to fans as Chryed – are soon to face the biggest test of their relationship ever after Christian moves out of the flat the pair shared…
Christian (John Partridge) will move in with his best mate Roxy (Rita Simons) while he decides what’s next for him, and when he makes the decision that he wants a clean break and is therefore going to set up home in America, Syed is furious that his husband has given up on them.
In his fury, Syed (Marc Elliott) will throw out all of Christian’s belongings in a very public display of their dirty laundry, but once he’s calmed down, he realizes he has to start making plans for his own future… Read more & comment »

As we reported earlier, Syed Masood’s life is falling apart at the seams, as not only is he broke, he’s also about to lose the love of his life, Christian Clarke (John Partridge).
However, Syed (Marc Elliott) still has his daughter Yasmin, so it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think that she will be some consolation to him as his life seems stuck at this unpleasant impasse…
But in a case of If It Weren’t For Bad Luck, He’d Have No Luck At All, Syed is set to be horrified when his ex-wife Amira returns to Walford and demands that Syed give her custody of little Yasmin… Read more & comment »

We reported last week that Marc Elliott, who plays Syed Masood in the hit BBC soap, EastEnders, has commented that there was much more storyline to come for his character’s new love interest, Danny Pennant (Gary Lucy), and it would seem he wasn’t wrong!
Elliott, who is due to leave the soap by the end of this year, said in the interview that Danny was hell-bent on revenge for being messed around, emotionally and financially, by the eldest Masood brother.

Fans of the award-winning soap will know how Marc’s character, Syed, has recently engaged in a dangerous fling with Albert Square newcomer, Danny Pennant (Gary Lucy). Despite being in the thick of planning his wedding to long-term partner, Christian (John Partridge) and running the family business into the ground financially, Syed still found time to sneak in a quick snog with the hot new investment banker (in full view of his dad).

EastEnders star Marc Elliott, has revealed the reason behind his decision to quit the award-winning BBC1 soap was for fear for being remembered as, and stereotyped for future roles, as just a gay Muslim.
Marc, who joined the cast of EastEnders as the confused eldest Masood son, Syed, back in 2009, has just filmed his final scenes for the show, which will air next month.

As fans of EastEnders will of course know, Syed Masood and Christian Clarke (John Partridge) are tying the know in a civil ceremony in an upcoming episode, however, it seems that no sooner does Syed get that ring on his finger than he does a runner!
Marc Elliott, who of course plays Syed, has told Soaplife what happens when first, Danny Pennant (Gary Lucy) turns up on Syed’s stag night…
He said, “He just rocks up. Syed’s terrified, worried what he’s doing there. It all gets too much for him…
“He’s getting the Mr & Mr quiz questions wrong and Roxy’s taking the p**s.
“Syed needs a moment to breathe and, as he leaves, Danny follows him.”
Marc explained that Syed and Danny go to the Argee Bhajee, where things take a turn for the worse… Read more & comment »

As we saw in last night’s episode of EastEnders, the financially troubled groom-to-be Syed Masood handed over his mother’s savings – unbeknownst to her – to city banker Danny Pennant (Gary Lucy) in the hope that he can double the money and get Syed (Marc Elliott) out of the doo doo…
We also saw that poor Alice Branning (Jasmyn Banks) was mugged outside the Vic, for which her dad Derek (Jamie Foreman) blamed Tanya Branning (Jo Joyner) because she had given Alice a makeover, which evidently Derek thought brought her to the attention of the mugger. More on that in a moment…
But first, as the title of this article states, when Danny turns up on the night of Syed’s stag do – he is of course set to wed Christian Clarke in a civil ceremony – nervous Syed is hoping that Danny has good news to tell him about his investment. Read more & comment »

Syed Masood and Christian Clarke are of course about to formalize their relationship by having it recognised in a civil partnership ceremony, however, as Syed is not only crippled by debt but also developing feelings for newcomer Danny Pennant, will he go through with the ceremony?
Well, that’s the big question, the answer to which EastEnders bosses are keeping firmly under their collective hats until the big day arrives on October 16th.
However, we do of course know that Christian (John Partridge) and Syed (Marc Elliott) are set to leave Walford for good soon, but before they go, Syed’s ex-wife Amira (Priya Kalidas) is set to make a brief comeback to the Square.
As to Syed’s feelings for Danny (Gary Lucy) they of course shake him to the core since he truly believed that Christian was “the one” for him… Read more & comment »
September 28th, 2012 by TV Writer Lynn. Tags: Carly Wicks, Eastenders, GBH, Kellie Shirley, Marc Elliott, syed masood

As fans of EastEnders will know, actress Kellie Shirley recently made a brief return to the show to reprise her role as Carly Wicks, who subsequently left Albert Square again with her distraught mum Shirley (Linda Henry) in tow.
And since then, Kellie landed a role in new Brit flick GBH, and in an interview with today’s Sun, she’s revealed that she was temporarily blinded after filming one of the movie’s many fight scenes!
In GBH – which goes on general release today – Kellie plays the role of a police officer during the London riots, and one of her scenes is an “upsetting” rape scene.
Of that, Kellie said, “It’s every girl’s nightmare so it was very upsetting to play.
“You see bits of it, but some of is left to the audience’s imagination.
She went on to say that she was injured when her co-star Peter Barrett “clipped” her eye by mistake… Read more & comment »

Fans of EastEnders will know how ex Bill and Hollyoaks actor, Gary Lucy, is set to make his Walford debut in tonight’s 7.30pm episode.
Gary, who has also appeared in Footballers wives along with former EastEnders actress, Zoe Lucker, is playing Danny Pennant, a city banker, who arrives in the square as a shoulder to cry on for troubled Syed Masood (Marc Elliott).

In forthcoming episodes of EastEnders, we’re going to meet newcomer Danny Pennant, who’s set to have what Gary Lucy – who plays Danny – describes as an “instant” chemistry with Syed Masood.
And of course, given that Syed (Marc Elliott) and his lover Christian Clarke (John Partridge) are set to leave Walford later this year, it’s been speculated that their decision to leave Albert Square has something to do with city banker Danny.
Gary has been talking to Inside Soap about his new role, and about the possibility of a romance between Danny and Syed, who are set to first meet at the Argee Bhajee where Syed will reveal his financial woes to the newbie.
Gary said, “Syed doesn’t tell him straight away that he has a fiancé – I think that if he had, Danny would have left it there.
“He doesn’t set out to cause trouble between them, but he’s going to spend quite a lot of time doing just that!” Read more & comment »

Our first snippet of EastEnders gossip today is that it seems Syed Masood could be about to fall for newcomer Danny Pennant – who’s played by Gary Lucy – after the city whiz kid makes Syed a tempting offer…
Things for Syed have of course been going awry ever since his shipment of Olympics souvenirs went astray, leaving him with boxes of worthless goods, given that they arrived too late for him to flog the stuff to tourists.
Since then, having made a deal with Janine (Charlie Brooks) to sell her what seems to be a lifetime’s supply of cleaning products, Syed found Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) entirely unsympathetic to his plight – because of course, Janine has done a runner – and as we saw last night, he refused to honour Janine’s agreement.
So now, Syed is well out of pocket, but he’s desperate to keep that fact a secret from his boyfriend Christian (John Partridge) and of course, from his family… Read more & comment »
