Former Emmerdale actor, Marc Silcock (Jackson Walsh), to star in new daytime mini-series, Privates!

Former Emmerdale star Marc Silcock, is set to star in a new BBC daytime drama, Privates, but says that he could never have been a soldier in real life as he hates taking orders, the Sun newspaper reports!

Silcock, who is best known for his heroic portrayal of tetraplegic Jackson Walsh in award-winning ITV1 soap, Emmerdale, will play plays Lance Corporal Jimmy Hobbs in BBC1 series Privates, but admits that he skipped much of the training for the part, claiming that he couldn’t be bossed around by a drill sergeant.

Former Emmerdale actor, Danny Miller, joins cast of “Scott & Bailey”

Former Emmerdale actor, Danny Miller, has joined the cast of Scott & Bailey, Digital Spy reports.

Miller, who fans of Emmerdale will know best for his award-winning portrayal of Aaron Livesy in the hit ITV soap from 2008 – 2012, has been cast as a new regular character, Rob Waddington in the highly popular detective show.

The British Soap Awards 2012: Unreality TV meets the stars of Emmerdale on the red carpet!

Last night saw the 13th annual British Soap Awards and all the stars braved the wind and rain to take their seats for the spectacular event, held at the ITV studios in London, where UnrealityTV were on the red carpet to speak to them all before the ceremony began.

Emmerdale: Danny Miller thinks Aaron should get ‘guilty’ verdict!

The trial of the year started this week on Emmerdale, and while a huge majority of us want Aaron Livesy to escape a prison sentence, it seems there is one person who thinks he should face some time inside, actor Danny Miller!

Emmerdale: Ofcom to assess complaints over assisted suicide plot?

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house last night when Emmerdale’s Jackson Walsh finally ended his life, with the help of his mother and partner, but the tissues have barely dried before the critics start flinging their two pence worth in.

Emmerdale: Jackson does a sky dive!

Emmerdale fans have been on tenter-hooks since rumours of filming in Whitby started circulating as being a possible exit for Jackson Walsh (Marc Solcock).

But far from being all doom and gloom, the first reports we have got are very uplifting, in more ways than one.

When Jackson finally agrees to go on holiday with Mum Hazel (Pauline Quirke) and boyfriend Aaron (Danny Miller), they are overjoyed. It isn’t long, however, before Jackson’s depressive mood returns while he finds every possible thing to moan about.

Emmerdale: Jackson rushed to hospital

Jackson Walsh’s life takes another unfortunate twist next Friday, as he is rushed to hospital with a chest infection.

This couldn’t come at a worse time for Jackson (Marc Silcock) who in the episodes preceding this event, has actually began to accept life in his wheel chair, and make the most of it with encouragement from his devoted mother Hazel (Pauline Quirke) and boyfriend, Aaron (Danny Miller).

At the beginning of the week, Jackson shows real signs of mental improvement, by deciding to throw his mum a surprise birthday party, with the help of Aaron.

Emmerdale: Jackson (Marc Silcock) confirms suicide exit will be memroable

It would seem that the will he/wont he saga of Jackson Walsh’s suicide bid has finally been decided.

Marc Silcock, who plays tetraplegic Jackson Walsh in ITV’s Emmerdale, has told The Boston Herald that he will be filming his last scenes on May 14th, to be shown on the daily soap some time the following month.

Some of the cast of ITV’s Emmerdale have been spotted filming in Whitby today, it has been reported.

Stars spotted so far have been Pauline Quirke, who plays Hazel, Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Livesy and Marc Silcock, who plays Jackson.

Emmerdale: Danny Miller claims fans want Aaron and Jackson to split

Emmerdale actor Danny Miller – who of course plays Aaron Livesy – has revealed that he believes the show’s fans want Aaron to ditch his relationship with Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock).

As viewers will know, the pair have never had an easy relationship, but since Jackson has been left paralysed from the neck down following an accident last year, the couple split then reunited.

However, a new character, Flynn (Ryan Prescott) is set to tempt Aaron away from Jackson, and during an interview with Inside Soap, Danny says it’s what the show’s fans want.
