Marco Pierre White has insisted that Jamie Oliver should not be classed as a “great chef”.
The cookery legend, who front’s ITV’s Hell’s Kitchen conceded that the dad of four does inspire viewers to cook, but insisted that he isn’t respected in his field.
He told The Star: “I don’t look at Jamie as a chef. He’s never won a Michelin star. Because of that, he’s not really accepted by the professional chef world.
A producer from Jamie Oliver’s company tried to poach the son of Marco Pierre White to appear on an upcoming TV show.
The News Of The World’s claims that staff from Jamie’s Fresh One Productions, used school friends to contact the fifteen year old, also named Marco Pierre White. However the fiery chef wasn’t amused with the move and has called in his lawyers, saying that the company breached rules by approaching a minor without parental consent.
Celebrity Chef, Marco Pierre White, has signed a deal with TV channel ITV1.
Marco is rumoured to be receiving £750,000 for his new ITV show ‘Marco’s Great British Feast’. He revealed to The Sun: “I need the money to pay for my divorce.”
Marco is also about to make a new US reality TV show called The Chopping Block.
It seems as though all the celebrity chefs have managed to swing at least one major advertising deal, and Marco Pierre White is no different.
Following in the foosteps of Jamie Oliver (face of Sainsburys) and Gordon Ramsay (BT Business), Marco Pierre White has recently accepted a deal making him the new face of Knorr stockcubes.
White told the Press Association: “I built my reputation using Knorr cubes and truly believe you can’t cook properly at home without them.”
Knorr boss Katie Lindridge added: “Throughout his career, Marco has talked about how essential Knorr stock cubes are to his cooking.
“We really believe his passion can inspire people to use them in different and exciting ways to help them in the kitchen.”
