Returning Hollyoaks actress, Gemma Bissix, has revealed that she has no sympathy for co-star Jennifer Metcalfe, in wake of her recent heartache.

Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays feisty Mercedes McQueen in the hit Channel 4 soap, found herself making headlines last Christmas when it came to light that her long-term partner, Dancing On Ice professional skater Sylvain Longchambon, had dumped her by phone after admitting that he had fallen for his, then, current DOI skating partner, Coronation Street star Samia Ghadie.

Corrie: Samia Ghadie reveals that when Sean Tully catches Maria and Marcus kissing, they know it’s time to go public with their romance!

As fans of Coronation Street will know, BFFs Marcus Dent and Maria Connor are about to embark on a love affair, which is of course made remarkable because Marcus is gay!

And while speaking to Soaplife about the plotline, Charlie Condou who plays Marcus, has revealed that after his character and Maria (Samia Ghadie) share a tender kiss, Marcus becomes extremely confused.

First, when asked what prompts that first kiss between Marcus and Maria, Charlie said, “It was when they came back from the hospital after Maria got her test results over the lump in her breast.

“It had been such an emotional roller-coaster and they were taking in what Maria was told.
