It would seem that, whilst his Sherlock co-star is lapping up all the attention and credit his starring role in the new Hobbit trilogy is getting him, Benedict Cumberbatch doesn’t think he is getting enough!
Cumberbatch, who plays the title role in the BBC modern remake of the Sherlock Holmes novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, has only been credited for lending his voice for the character Smaug, but he claims he did a lot more than just speak.

It would seem that the break between episode’s two and three of the third series of Sherlock has ended, as its main stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman have been spotted filming again, in Cardiff Centre!
Episodes one and two of the third Sherlock series, entitled The Empty Hearse and The Sign of Three, have already been filmed, with a scheduled break planned before production of the third and final episode of series three commences.

With many a story circulating about series four of Sherlock, despite the fact that series three hasn’t even been completely filmed yet, show runner Steven Moffat has come forward to say that nothing has actually been confirmed.
We reported earlier this year how the shows main star, Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Sherlock in the hugely popular BBC detective series, had said that both he and co-star Martin freeman, who plays his sidekick John Watson, had both signed up for a fourth series, and were both keen to keep doing the show for as long as it ran.

Sherlock star, Benedict Cumberbatch’s mum wants him to get married as she wants grandchildren!
In a recent interview for the Times newspaper, Caitlin Moran was invited to have Sunday lunch with the BBC detective star and his parents, actors Wanda Ventham and Timothy Carlton.

After we reported earlier this week how Benedict Cumberbatch had stated that he was “in it for the long haul”, his Sherlock co-star, Martin Freeman has said that, he too, is staying loyal to the hit BBC detective series.
Cumberbatch, who along with Freeman has already signed up for a fourth series of the blockbuster show, stated in a recent interview that he would like to grow old with his on-screen eccentrically brilliant alter ego, and that he could see the show, which is a modern day twist on the famous novels by Arthur Conan Doyle, lasting for many years to come.

Sherlock fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the shows main star has revealed that he isn’t leaving any time soon!
Benedict Cumberbatch caused more than a little stir when he first stepped out in the hit BBC detective drama series, wearing the infamous deerstalker hat, which lead to a phenomenal career surge and demand for the very typically British actor, and his co-star Martin Freeman, who plays John Watson.

We have all been wondering from the very moment the last episode of Sherlock ended just how the show creators were going to explain how the fiendishly clever detective was able to get up and walk away having just, apparently, plummeted to his death from the top of a high-rise hospital building, and pictures in today’s Sun newspaper may just have the answers.
Fans of the hit BBC detective series based on the novels of Arthur Conan Doyle with a modern-day twist, will know how filming for the much-anticipated third series began earlier this month, and now pictures have emerged showing the famous hypnotist and magician Derren Brown on set, apparently putting Martin Freeman’s character, John Watson, under a hypnotic trance.

It would seem that filming for the third series of Sherlock is well underway, as its two main stars, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, have been spotted in action on the streets of London!
The Sun newspaper has, today, published the pictures which show the pair deep in character, with one showing Cumberbatch standing with one gloved hand outstretched, stopping two people on a motorbike.

Sherlock creators Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat have added fuel to the ever burning rumour that series three of the hit BBC detective series will feature Sherlock’s companion, John Watson, get married!
For months speculation had been rife that series three would see the famous Dr meet his soul mate, Mary Morston, who he later goes on to marry after three words, “rat”, “wedding” and “bow”, were announced in association with the series.

Amanda Abbington, the partner of current Sherlock star Martin Freeman, has reportedly joined the cast of the hit BBC detective series.
The actress, whose most recent role was that of Miss Mardle in the hugely popular ITV period drama Mr Selfridge, has been seeing Freeman, who shot to fame playing Tim in Ricky Gervais’ smash sitcom The Office, since they first met on the set of Only Men back in 2010, and has two children by him.

After Benedict Cumberbatch confirmed his, and co-star Martin Freeman’s involvement in the third and fourth series of the hit BBC detective series, the show’s creator, Mark Gattis has now revealed the title for the first episode of the new series, which is currently being filmed!
Speaking at the recent South Bank Sky Arts Awards, during which he picked up the television drama prize for Parade’s End, Cumberbatch confirmed the news that a fourth series was in his future, adding how he, and the rest of the cast and crew would love for the show to continue for “as long as possible”.

Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch found himself at the centre of his own little mystery when a neighbour decided to stalk him via social networking site Twitter.
Cumberbatch, who plays the title role in the epic and popular BBC detective series, Sherlock, was astonished to discover that his every move inside his very own house was being reported by an unknown person via the networking site.

With the filming of the much-anticipated third series of BBC hit detective series, Sherlock, about to begin, the shows main star, Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the title role of Sherlock, has confirmed that both he, and his co-star Martin Freeman, who plays his on-screen sidekick Dr Watson, have signed up for a fourth series too!
This news will be well received amongst die-hard Sherlock fans after we were kept guessing until the eleventh hour as to whether Cumberbatch, who has also just been filming for the new Star Trek movie, and Freeman, who has been filming The Hobbit, would even return for the new series due to hit our screens later this year.

Paul McGuigan, the director from the hugely popular BBC detective series Sherlock, has revealed that he will not be returning to the show when it begins filming for its third series later this month.
McGuigan had previously directed four out of six episodes from the last two series – A Study In Pink, The great Game, A Scandal In Belgravia and The Hounds Of The Baskerville – all of which he was credited for bringing an inventive style to, and making him the shows main director.

Martin Freeman has finally put our curious minds at rest and confirmed the start date for filming on the new series of Sherlock.
The actor revealed last night that the BBC series is coming back and that he and Benedict Cumberbatch will start work on set in just two weeks time.
