Fans of EastEnders will probably know that Shona McGarty and former cast member Matt Lapinskas broke up recently amid claims he was dating his Dancing On Ice pro-skate partner, Brianne Delcourt…

It’s a claim that Matt – who played the role of Anthony Moon – has always denied, however, a series of romantic tweets between him and Canadian Brianne of late have somewhat intimated they are romantically involved.

It’s been revealed today that Matt Lapinskas – who left EastEnders last year – is headed back to Walford to reprise the role of Tyler Moon!

Matt, who’s currently competing in Dancing On Ice, has hinted that he’ll make a comeback for the wedding of Anthony’s brother Tyler (Tony Discipline) who has of course recently become engaged to Whitney Dean, who’s played by Matt’s real life girlfriend, Shona McGarty.

Matt told TV Biz, “Shona is very excited about her East-Enders wedding and I’d love to be involved.”

EastEnders actress Shona McGarty has been given the all clear to return to the hit BBC soap, after a four month suspension.

McGarty, who plays troubled Whitney Dean in the soap, was suspended four weeks ago by new producer, Lorraine Newman, after repeatedly being late on set.

As fans of EastEnders will know, Matt Lapinskas has been axed from the show and his role as Anthony Moon, and has in fact now filmed his final scenes…

It was revealed a few weeks ago that Matt Lapinskas is leaving the show and his role as Anthony Moon, and it’s been revealed today that the character will be forced to leave Walford by Derek Branning.

The plotline apparently begins when Anthony – who’s becoming ever closer to Derek’s daughter Alice (Jasmyn Banks) – plays a high stakes game of poker with Derek (Jamie Foreman) and loses everything, including the Moon’s business, The Emporium.

And in order to halt the romance between Anthony and Alice, Derek coldly gives Anthony the money for a one way ticket out of Dodge. Well, Albert Square anyway.

In EastEnders you have the young relationships of co-stars Matt Lapinskas (Anthony Moon) and Shona McGarty (Whitney Dean) and the more recent romance between Tony Discipline (Tyler Moon) and Jacqueline Jossa (Lauren Branning).  In Emmerdale there is the bizarre real life marriage between Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle) and Zoe Henry (Rhona the vet) and the engagement between Charley Webb (Debbie Dingle) and Matthew Wolfenden (David Metcalfe).

Matt Lapinskas has opened up about his off-screen romance with EastEnders co-star, Shona McGarty.

Lapinskas, who was recently axed from his role as Anthony Moon in the award-winning BBC soap, has been seeing McGarty, who plays troubled teen Whitney Dean, since last year has told Closer magazine that it was “love at first sight” when the two met.

EastEnders star Matt Lapinskas, who is of course leaving the show and his role as Anthony Moon later this year, has revealed that for his next project, he’d love to star in a Guy Ritchie movie.

Ritchie – who was formerly married to pop star Madonna – famously directed cult movies Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Revolver and RocknRolla.

While speaking to Radio 1 DJ Sara Cox, Matt said, “My ideal job? I’d love to go off and do some great films.

“I’d love to work with Guy Ritchie, that’s putting it out there.”

After we reported yesterday that rumour had it that EastEnders, who are struggling with viewing ratings, was planning on sacking Matt Lapinskas,who plays Anthony Moon in the BBC soap, the news has now been confirmed.

Lapinskas, who is dating Shona McGarty who plays Whitney Dean in real life, is set to depart from the show within the next few weeks, after less than a year of playing the antiques dealer.

It seems millions of us have had enough of EastEnders’ often dreary and depressing plotlines, and we’re choosing not to watch in our droves, sparking a radical shake up of the BBC soap, including axing some of the less popular characters.

Matt Lapinskas, who plays Anthony Moon, has been ditched, and various media outlets report that the show’s bosses are considering who else should go.

It’s believed producers are considering axing more of the younger members of the cast as the show has been criticised for too many storylines that highlight teenagers’ issues.

Last night saw the 13^th annual British Soap Awards, and all the stars braved the wind and rain to take their seats for the spectacular event, held at the ITV studios in London, where UnrealityTV were on the red carpet to speak to them all before the ceremony started.

The EastEnders cast were surprisingly sparse when it came to the red carpet event, especially when compared to the huge Emmerdale crew that showed up en masse, but we managed to catch up with some of the Walford residents to clear up some old rumours and get some new gossip!

I have to say, this story has given me my first laugh of the day! The Sun reports that EastEnders stars – and real life lovers – Shona McGarty and Matt Lapinskas were booted out of Asda for “inappropriate behaviour”.

What could be “inappropriate” enough to get barred from a supermarket I hear you ask? Well, apparently, smearing yourself with yoghurt and acting “suggestively.”

20 year old Shona and 25 year old Matt apparently outraged shoppers with their naughty dairy product based antics.

One furious mum told the paper, “It was disgusting. The man was opening up pots and looked as if he was throwing it around.

The relationship between Anthony Moon and Amira Masood is one of the most unlikely pairings in Walford history…

However, as Matt Lapinskas, who plays the love struck Anthony told Soaplife, his character will do whatever it takes to impress the glamorous Amira, who’s played by Preeya Kalidas.

Matt – who’s dating his co-star Shona McGarty – said, “He’s totally obsessed with Amira. He wants a long-term girlfriend. He wants to settle down.

“But Amira might not be the right person for that. At first it looked as if Amira was using him, but they are starting to enjoy one another’s company.

“They haven’t kissed or slept together yet, but Anthony hopes they are heading that way. He thinks Amira is a gorgeous goddess!”
