When did you first realize that Lost was going to be such a huge international success?
“It took a little while to realize the show would do well internationally, although I knew it was going to be successful in the States because the viewing figures for the pilot were huge. There was a lot of buzz about the show before we even went on air and I knew the show was very good, as well as very different to anything else on television at the time. You know what? I think the show is pretty special and it deserves all this attention.”
Matthew Fox has admitted that he plans to give up on TV work once he finishes on Lost.
Fox says he wants to spend more time with his children and doesn’t want to get caught up in another hectic TV schedule.
“I am not going to do television again,” Fox told WENN. “That is not because I think film is better than television. Not at all, in some respects some of the best storytelling is happening on television.
Matthew Fox appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show this week with his arm in a sling. The pair went on to explain how a staring contest that arose between them led to his injury.

Lost star, Matthew Fox has said that it will be a relief when the show ends and he will enjoy the freedom that brings.
The penultimate series of the hit US TV show kicks of on Sky One this month.
“Personally, it’s a relief,” Fox told Details. “I owe this show a great amount, and I think it’s exceptionally good . . . [but] I am looking forward to the freedom that comes with not working on one project professionally.”
