Former Hollyoaks actor, Will Mellor, has described his role in the second episode of Merlin as his dream job. In the episode Mellor played evil Knight Valiant and I didn’t actually think he did the role any justice whatsoever.
“It was phenomenal, what dreams are made of,” Mellor told the Manchester Evening News. “I had a great character to play, with horse riding and sword fighting in a stunning setting.”
However the high temperatures in Paris posed a problem during filming for Mellor due to his bulky costume. Read more & comment »
Michelle Ryan has claimed that she will never return to her Eastenders role as Zoe Slater, no matter how much money she is offered by the BBC.
Speaking to thisisbristol, she said: “I just got quite bored in the end, to be honest. Doing the same thing day in, day out. It’s just so boring. I like to jump from different things.”
She added: “Money doesn’t drive me. You couldn’t get me back.”
Michelle can next be seen on our screens this Saturday night in BBC’s magical drama, Merlin.

Michelle Ryan has admitted that she loved playing an evil witch on BBC newest drama, Merlin.
Michelle, who also starred in US show Bionic Woman, told The Sun: “She’s the first baddie I’ve played, which meant it was a lot of fun. Nimueh is like a cat.
“She’s so confident and powerful — she just lifts a finger or a hand and things happen. It’s a really fantastic part.”

The BBC is to launch a new “magical” interactive campaign using “augmented reality” technology in cinemas across the UK to promote Merlin, a new 13-part drama for BBC One.
The campaign will include a postcard that allows viewers to access unique footage of the character Merlin performing a magic trick from within a spell book.
The spell book “magically” appears on your computer screen when a special symbol on the postcard is held up to a webcam. Read more & comment »

BBC Drama and Shine Limited today (Monday 17 March) announce that filming has begun for Merlin, a brand new drama for BBC One.
Acclaimed British actors Richard Wilson (Gauis) and Anthony Head (Uther) will star alongside newcomers Colin Morgan (Merlin) and Bradley James (Arthur) in the forthcoming 13-part series, which will transmit in autumn 2008.
