The third season of Boardwalk Empire is a LONG way off, but we already have some details about what you can expect when it does return to our TV screens later this year.

She creator Terence Winter has been teasing the new series and revealed that there will be a fifteen month jump between the end of season two and the start of season three.

This means that be the time viewers tune back in, Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt) will have been dead for a year and a half, after he was murdered by Nucky (Steve Buscemi) in the recent series finale.
