It seems that Gloria Price (Sue Johnston) is set to save her daughter Stella’s bacon in terms of The Rovers next week after she – details of exactly how are as yet under wraps – comes up with enough cash to get the refurb of the fire damaged pub back on track…
And though she rather left it to the last minute, given that Stella (Michelle Collins) had put the pub up for sale and suffered the indignity of taking a job as a cleaner at the Bistro, save it she does, but of course, she soon interferes, much to Karl Munro’s annoyance.
And he’s struggling to cope with his guilt next week as Stella plans a bank holiday reopening date for the iconic pub, and so snaps at Gloria when she gets in the way of the builders and him. Read more & comment »

It’s been revealed today that Corrie cast members Jane Danson, Sue Johnston, Michelle Collins and Catherine Tyldesley are set to stay with the soap for at least another year as all four women have signed new contracts with the show.
They of course play the roles of Leanne Tilsley, Gloria Price, Stella Price and Eva Price respectively, and according to The Sun’s TV Biz, the soap’s producers have started writing “a host of new storylines” for the characters which are set to make them “the most heavily-featured characters in Weatherfield.” Read more & comment »

Coronation Street star Michelle Collins sparked a row on Twitter this week after she posted a tweet which read, “Why do actresses have ridiculous lip jobs done???
“Watched Easties tonight!! Was shocked!
“Big lips just seem to take over the screen! Too distracting!”
Twitter users came to the conclusion that Michelle – who plays Stella Price – was specifically referring to EastEnders actress Kierston Wareing, who plays Kirsty Branning… Read more & comment »

As we reported recently, arsonist Karl Munro is set to break down during Sunita Alahan’s funeral as the guilt of what he’s done overwhelms him.
He of course started the blaze in the Rovers and pushed Sunita (Shobna Gulati) into the cellar, rendering her unconscious as the inferno took hold. She has since been in a coma in hospital, and rumour has it that – as she shows signs of regaining consciousness – Karl (John Michie) will sabotage her life support equipment to make sure she dies and therefore can’t tell anyone the truth of what happened that night.
However, it’s been reported today that his efforts at covering up the truth may have been in vain when, during the funeral, he confesses to Stella Price (Michelle Collins) that he is in fact responsible for it all… Read more & comment »

As we reported recently, Coronation Street character Michelle Connor (Kym Lomas) is set to become the new landlady of The Rovers Return when current landlady Stella Price (Michelle Collins) gives up on the boozer…
However, before that happens, and while planning what to do during the pub’s rebuilding in the wake of the fire, Stella is set to offer builder Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) half of the business in return for fixing it up.
The Daily Star reports, “She has to come up with a plan to keep the Rovers open and decides the best thing to do is sell off a 50% stake.”
In scenes that will air later this month, a shocked Owen says, “Let me get this right, are you saying to me that if I cancel your debt and finish the repairs you’ll give me half of the Rovers? Read more & comment »

Tonight’s dramatic visit to Coronation Street has seen the fire at the Rovers leave the Street’s residents reeling as lives hang in the balance, including Sunita Alahan (Shobna Gulati) and Stella Price’s…

Michelle Collins, who of course plays Rovers landlady Stella Price in Coronation Street, has revealed to the Daily Mirror that at one time, her battle with eating disorders left her so thin and emaciated, some people assumed she was a heroin addict.
Michelle, who formerly played the role of Cindy Beale in EastEnders, explained that when she was in the grip of both bulimia and anorexia, she would starve herself for weeks at a time before bingeing no food while simultaneously taking laxatives.
The paper states, “But it was not until her agent picked her up on her extreme weight loss that the actress realised she had a problem.”
50 year old Michelle said, “I went to audition for a fashion commercial and they said they didn’t think I was quite right for it because I wasn’t ‘upmarket’ enough… Read more & comment »

After months of speculation that her character, Stella Price would be killed off in the Rovers return fire in Coronation Street next week, the actress who plays her, Michelle Collins, has revealed she has signed a new contract with the show taking her up to next year – ruling her out of the fatality count due to hit our screens.
As fans of the hit ITV soap will know, a roaring fire is set to burn the epic Rovers Return pub down to the ground next week taking with it the lives of two Weatherfield regulars.

New Coronation Street producer, Stuart Blackburn, has revealed some details regarding some of the shows most loved characters including Roy and Hayley Cropper, Peter Barlow and Carla Connor, David and Kylie Platt, Tracey Barlow as well as a huge hint about one person who was rumoured to be perishing in the great Rovers Return fire, Stella Price!
As fans of the award-winning soap will know, Stuart Blackburn took over from Phil Collinson at the beginning of this year after his stint at ITV rival soap Emmerdale, and has already ruffled a few feathers with his drastic action plans with regards to the current cast.

Fans of Corrie will of course know that in an upcoming storyline, Sunita Alahan (Shobna Gulati) is set to die having become trapped in The Rovers when a fire breaks out…
And when firefighters determine that the blaze was started deliberately, many of the Street’s residents will be convinced that Sunita was the arsonist, however, as it’s been reported of late that Karl Munro (John Michie) is set to become sinister when his former lover Stella Price shuns him yet again, he is of course also going to be a prime suspect.
We reported yesterday that the cast and crew of the soap have been filming the blaze scenes in a series of late night shoots, and in today’s Daily Star, the paper has snippets of the cast’s scripts which could indicate that Stella might die in the fire too… Read more & comment »

As we reported last week, Sunita Alahan (Shobna Gulati) is due to die in a fire at the Rovers which many of the Street’s residents will believe she started deliberately after her lover Karl Munro ditches her to reunite with Stella Price…
However, it seems that there’s more to the story than it first seemed because Michelle Collins, who of course plays Stella, has revealed that as the drama unfolds, Karl (John Michie) will become “sinister” when his efforts to win Stella back are thwarted.
Speaking to the Daily Record, Michelle said, “I’ve got loads of other good stuff coming up where my ex [Karl] gets very sinister and becomes totally obsessed with me.”
It’s also understood that Karl will stalk Stella’s toy boy, Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas), and apropos of that plotline, Michelle said, “I never envisaged I’d be in Corrie. If someone had told me years ago, I’d have said, ‘You’re joking’. Read more & comment »

Coronation Street star Michelle Collins – who of course plays pub landlady Stella Price – has revealed today that she was recently subjected to a terrifying verbal attack by a gang of youths who she feared may physically attack her.
Explaining that the horrifying incident happened as she travelled by Tube train to attend the birthday party of her co-star Charlie Condou – who plays Marcus Dent – Michelle told The Sun that she feared the youths, who were “like a pack of wolves”, may stab her.
She said, “They were like a pack of wolves. I felt so scared and vulnerable.
“Some of them looked as young as 15 but they were screaming abuse at me, calling me a f***ing whore, a slag and a bitch.
