Shane Richie has revealed that he would consider returning to BBC soap, Eastenders if the storyline was right.

Shane told MSN: “I loved it, I had a great time in the three years I was there to the point that I didn’t really want to go, but things change. They’ve left it open, and maybe one day a producer may come along and say ‘I tell you what, we’ve got a great storyline’. If I’m available and if the story’s worth doing, I’d come back.”

Classic drama Minder is set to make a comeback on TV channel Five later this year.

Better still, hotly tipped for the lead role is former Eastenders actor Shane Richie who is currently starring in Skins.

Richie’s agent Phil Dale said: “I am currently in negotiations and unable to discuss this further.”

Minder, at its peak was one of ITV’s most popular programmes and ran for 15 years.

I can just hear it now……”I could be so good for you………”
