Last Friday, I met with the cast and crew of hit ITV soap Emmerdale at the show’s headquarters in Leeds, and among the actors I spoke to on the day was Natalie J Robb, who of course plays Moira Barton…
And keen to learn more about Natalie herself, I asked, “What’s your favourite and least favourite thing about working on Emmerdale?”
She replie, “I think my least favourite thing is that we sometimes have to film in really cold weather… Read more & comment »
Fans of Emmerdale will know that Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) hates Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) primarily because it was his affair with Adam’s mum Moira that set into motion events that ended with the death of Adam’s dad, John Barton…
So it’s no surprise that since Moira (Natalie J Robb) officially announced that she and Cain are an item again earlier this year, Adam has struggled to see his mum with the man he blames for the death of his father.
And now that Cain’s daughter Debbie has kicked him out of her house, and Cain’s taken up residence at Moira’s, Adam’s finding it increasingly difficult to stomach… Read more & comment »
This week, I had the pleasure of meeting Emmerdale star Natalie J Robb – who of course plays the role of Moira Barton – at the show’s studios in Leeds, and over lunch, we had a chat about what lies ahead for her character and her character’s lover, Cain Dingle, who’s played by Jeff Hordley.
First, I asked, “Is there any chance Cain and Moira will be walking down the aisle in the near future?
Natalie replied, “Well I don’t know about it if there is, so I can’t comment on that, but I can tell you there’s some turmoil coming up for them!
“It’s set to hit the screens in the summer and into October, but that’s all I can say for now!” Read more & comment »

There’s tragedy in store for Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) this week, who, having only just learned that his girlfriend Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) is pregnant, soon has to cope with the news that she’s miscarried.
The drama begins on Monday 15th when, having overheard Amy Wyatt (Chelsea Halfpenny) talking about how vile Cain was to her when she was pregnant with Kyle – who she gave up for adoption – Moira’s on edge about how he’ll react to the prospect of being a father to her child.
However, when she finally breaks the news to him that she’s pregnant – in Tuesday’s episode – she’s taken aback when he’s happy at the baby news, but when Moira tries to point out how hard it’ll be to be parents to a baby again, the shine is tarnished for Cain who thinks she doesn’t want the baby. In next week’s episodes of Emmerdale, we’ll see that Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) appears distracted and snappy with those around her, and in the episode that airs on Friday, April 12, we’ll find out why…
It’s because she’s pregnant with Cain Dingle’s baby!
As yet, we don’t know how Cain (Jeff Hordley) will react to the news – assuming Moira tells him of course – nor what decision Moira will make as to whether to go ahead with the pregnancy or not… Read more & comment »
Coming up next week on Emmerdale, Robbie Lawson (Jamie Shelton) decides to try to earn some brownie points with his boss Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) after Cain Dingle fixes his girlfriend Moira’s car for free, much to Debbie’s annoyance…

However, he’s set to discover that Debbie – though currently being nothing but ruthless where business is concerned – isn’t impressed, and angrily tells him that she’ll make decisions about matters such as unpaid bills, while pointing out that what happens between herself and her dad is none of Robbie’s business.
We have a clip of that drama for you after the jump, as well as another preview of Bob Hope’s fury when he sees Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) and his mate Dan Spencer together… Read more & comment »

However, for Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) by the time the New Year rolls around, they will have decided that regardless of what the rest of the villagers – or their families for that matter – say or think, they’re going to go public with their romance, and to hell with the consequences.
For them, things take turn for the passionate on New Year’s Eve when, after Cameron nicks Dom’s (Wil Johnson) motorbike – he has of course arranged to pick Moira up for a date – and unwitting Moira just hops on the back, assuming the driver is Dom… Read more & comment »
Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle has – until recently – always been a bad lad who’s constantly on the lookout for mischief and who never shies away from a fight…
However, since the infamous Judgement Day attack, which saw Cain left fighting for his life after his own dad Zak (Steve Halliwell) beat him nearly to death, Cain has been changing. He’s mellowed out considerably, and has become a caring dad to his daughter Debbie (Charley Webb) and an even more caring granddad to her poorly daughter Sarah.
He’s even struck up a truce with his ex, Charity Sharma (Emma Atkins) for the sake of their daughter, and he’s forgiven his dad for attacking him!
And as Jeff Hordley – who of course plays Cain – has revealed in an interview with the Mirror, when his character reignites his romance with Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) his thoughts turn to settling down and making a long-term partner of Mucky Moira… Read more & comment »

Fans of Emmerdale will of course recall that when Moira Barton and Cain Dingle embarked on an affair, it was to set into motion a chain of events that culminated in Moira’s husband John dying and her family falling apart…
But apparently, Moira – who’s been dubbed Mucky Moira on set for her bedroom antics, which have included bedding farmhand Alex (Kurtis Stacey) – learns slower than earth worms because she’s about to reignite her passion for village bad lad Cain.
Having said that, Cain (Jeff Hordley) has mellowed out somewhat since his Judgement Day beating at the hands of his dad Zak (Steve Halliwell) and as we saw last week, he even passed up the opportunity to kill Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) when he had the chance… Read more & comment »
Fans of Emmerdale will of course know that Moira Barton’s affair with village bad lad Cain Dingle set into motion a chain of events that led to her husband John Barton’s death…
When news of the affair went public last year, Moira was of course vilified in the village, and her own children shunned her for months, refusing even to see her on Christmas Day!
So you’d think perhaps it would be somewhat unwise for Moira (Natalie J Robb) to reopen that can of worms, but on Bonfire night, that’s precisely what she’s going to do when Cain (Jeff Hordley) kisses her, and initially, she can’t help but respond…
However, as the enormity of what she’s doing strikes her, Moira pulls away, disgusted with herself for revisiting her passion with Cain.
But can she stay away? Well, time will tell, but the storyline kicks off when Moira visits Cain to plead for mercy on Chas Dingle’s behalf… Read more & comment »
Mucky Moira Barton has of course been doing the do with farm hand Alex Cross, conveniently ignoring the fact that he is her son’s best mate, and that he’s going out with – on and off anyway – Victoria Sugden…
However, when Victoria (Isobel Hodgins) smells a rat and accuses Alex (Kurtis Stacey) of having another woman, his guilt laden denials tell her all she needs to know.
