John Simm (Doctor Who, Life On Mars), Corin Redgrave (Turn Of The Screw, Four Weddings And A Funeral), Anna Massey (Hotel du Lac, Tess Of The D’Urbervilles), Robert Glenister (Hustle, Spooks), Gerard Kearns (Shameless, Mark Of Cain), Roy Marsden (The Green Green Grass, Adam Dalgleish in PD James adaptations) and Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting, Snatch) are to star in the new series of BBC One Daytime’s critically-acclaimed drama, Moving On, with Dominic West (The Wire, Mona Lisa Smile) directing one of the episodes.

Moving On, BBC One Daytime’s critically acclaimed drama is set to return for a second series, it was announced today.
Liam Keelan, Controller of Daytime, has commissioned 10 new episodes of the original drama, doubling the run of the first series.
The series will once again be written by a combination of new and established writers and will be filmed on location in and around Liverpool.

Moving On is a new series of five unique, contemporary dramas starring Sheila Hancock, Dervla Kirwan, Ian Hart, Lesley Sharp, Mark Womack and Joanne Frogatt for BBC One Daytime. The executive producer is Jimmy McGovern (The Street).
Stripped over one week, the dramas, which have been written by up-and-coming writers, are all linked by one central theme: how to “move on”. This opening episode is written by Karen Brown and stars Sheila Hancock.
