David Tennant has signed on to host a Doctor Who themed Christmas special of Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
The Sun reports that the outgoing Doctor will present the show on December 16th with guests including Catherine Tate and Bernard Cribbins.

Noel Fielding has been axed from BBC’s Never Mind The Buzzcocks after stories of drug use emerged in the weekend tabloids.
The Mighty Boosh comic was rumoured to have been appointed as team captain after guesting on the last series of the show. However The Sun reports that the BBC have axed him after Fielding admitted to taking cocaine, ecstasy, acid and magic mushrooms in an interview with the News of the World yesterday.

Former T4 presenter Simon Amstell has announced his decision to leave Never Mind The Buzzcocks after three series.
A BBC insider told The Sun: “Simon is a funny guy who can think on his feet but he has decided it is time to move on.
“He is working on a new project that has been commissioned by the BBC and feels he wants to concentrate on that.”

X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary has been hired as a team captain on the BBC Two music quiz ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks.’
Dermot won’t be a permanent captain however, but will be one of the guest fill ins replacing Bill Bailey who has quit the show after 11 series.
Other captains will include Mark Ronson, Frank Skinner, Jack Dee, Johnny Vegas and Bob Mortimer.

BBC Two’s satirical music series Never Mind The Buzzcocks is back with a brand new series next month.
Simon Amstell returns for his second series as host. His successful debut series won him the Royal Television Society programme award for Comedy Entertainment.
