Dumped Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan – who played Edie – has slated ABC, and the show’s creator Marc Cherry, saying that she believes the show is “losing its appeal”.

Nicollette played Edie Britt for five years but it seems that she felt she and her character were undervalued by Marc Cherry.

She told TV Guide, “When you have a jewel, why not polish it and put it out there for all to see?”

Nicollette Sheridan may not be completely done on US drama Desperate Housewives, despite announcing that she was leaving the show last month.

The show’s creator Marc Cherry told E! that the actress may be back on set and cast aspersions on the rumour that her character Edie Britt was being killed off.

“I don’t know if that’s Nicollette’s last day,” Marc said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s just a nasty rumour and Nicollette has more Desperate Housewives episodes in her future.”

Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria has said that she will really miss her co-star Nicollette Sheridan when she leaves the hit US TV show.

Sheridan announced that she would be leaving the show where she plays Edie Britt at the end of the current season.

“I love her so much as a person, and I love the character of Edie Britt, that I can’t imagine the show without her,” Eva told Extra.
