Reports have emerged from sources at Showtime that Joely Richardson is joining the cast of ‘The Tudors’.

Michael Aussiello from E! Entertainment suggests that the Nip Tuck actress will take advantage of a break in filming for that show to take on the role of Henry’s (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) last wife during Tudors’ fourth and final season.

Let’s face it, she can’t be any worse than Joss Stone now can she?

Former Ally McBeal actress, Portia de Rossi, has admitted that she was very nervous at the prospect of playing a lesbian in the US drama, Nip Tuck.

She is quoted as saying: “I am a lesbian playing a lesbian. But she’s a different woman than I am, so the most surprising thing is how emotional it’s been for me.”

“I had that one moment of, ‘Does this mean I’ll be typecast as a lesbian?’”

Hollywood writers, who have been on strike for two weeks, have set a date to restart talks with industry bosses.

The writers have been striking after studios refused them bigger cut of profits from DVD and internet sales, this will be the first talks that have been held since the strike kicked off on the 5th of November.

Sean Jablonski, writer behind hit TV show, Nip Tuck told the associated press:

“That’s fabulous, that’s great. You can’t get a deal until two sides sit down and talk about it.”
