Trick or Treat with Deal Or No Deal

It’s The Banker’s favourite time of year – Halloween is where he gets to inflict even more pain and suffering on the poor, unsuspecting contestants. And this year, he is not alone – it seems the Dream Factory has been possessed by the evil spirits of his miserly ancestors. Combining incredible costumes and makeup with state-of-the-art visual effects and breathtaking set design, the Dream Factory has been utterly transformed into a truly sinister world somewhere just beyond our own.

Noel Edmonds is said to have pulled his popular TV show ‘Noel’s HQ’ from Sky One after channel bosses refused to let him present it live.

A Sky spokesman told The Sun: “Sky1 and Noel Edmonds have mutually agreed not to proceed with a second series.”

What’s the deal with Deal Or No Deal?

Deal or no Deal: olga

Why oh why does anyone actually like or watch this show? Me? I can’t stand it. Why? Because it’s been on since God was a lad and they may as well have recorded just one show that they then did the graphics/telly magic equivalent of photoshopping on other faces… in other words, it barely changes – nothing new happens except there are different contestants. Mind you, I think some of the contestants have in fact been there waiting their turn since time began.

Indeed, some of them, I suspect, have in fact fossilised.

The lady in the clip that follows, Mary, was probably about 12 when she first joined the panel of hopefuls, but the really funny bit about her time on in the ‘crazy chair’ as Noel calls it, was that the poor old dear – and she is a very sweet lady – had no clue that she’d won for a few seconds and I have to admit, loathe though I am to admit it, it brought a tear to my eye when she realised what amount she’d won… Click on the Read More link to see the clip… Read more & comment »

Gordon Brown Backs Noel Edmonds TV Campaign

noeledmonds

Prime Minister, Gordon Brown is backing Noel Edmonds campaign against bosses of Wealden Council.

Council officials have blocked 20-year-old Royal Marine Joe Townsend from erecting a bungalow at the grounds of his grandparents in Pevensey, East Sussex. Townsend lost the use of both of his legs while on duty in Afghanistan and Noel has been fronting a campaign trying to reverse the decision of the council.

Noel has been frustrated thus far by the refusal of council boss Jim Van den Bos, to speak to an “entertainment show”.

Edmonds told viewersof his show, ‘Noel’s HQ’: “Mr Van den Bos I have a message for you. Don’t simply think this is an entertainment show.

Noel Edmonds DOES Have A TV Licence

Noel Edmonds tried to act the rebel last week and claimed that he had no TV licence and wouldn’t be buying one until the BBC changed the way it pursued non payers.

However the TV Licensing agency has claimed that Edmonds does have a fully paid up licence for the TVs in his house.

“TV Licensing has checked its records and can confirm we have a valid current licence on record for his address,” a spokesman said. Read more & comment »

Noel Edmonds Wants Immigration Ban

Noel Edmonds seems determined to make headlines this month! Only last week he announced that he was refusing to pay his TV licence and now he is calling for the government to implement a full immigration ban.

“I’m very straightforward on immigration. The bus is full,” he told The News Of The World.

The Deal Or No Deal host explained: “We haven’t got enough energy, we haven’t got enough electricity, we haven’t got enough of a health service.”

Edmonds insisted his views are not racist, adding that his fears centre on a looming energy crisis.

“Please be clear. I do not have an agenda that involves where people come from, the colour of their skin or what their religion is. But it is a fact that there is a finite number of people who can fit into a lift. This is an island and we have a situation now where we are going to run out of energy,” he said.

Noel made the comments whilst promoting his new show (ah thats why he wants to create a stir!), Noel’s HQ.

Noel Edmonds Boycotting TV Licence

Deal or No Deal presenter, Noel Edmonds has decided to stop paying his TV licence until the BBC stops threatening those who fail to pay.

“There are too many organisations – and the BBC is a fabulous organisation – that seem to think it’s okay to badger, hector and threaten people,” he remarked on BBC One’s Breakfast.

“I actually cancelled my licence fee a few months ago,” Edmonds added.

Ohhhhhh, I wonder if the guys in the white van will have the guts to turn up to his house next week?

NOEL’S HQ: People Power!!!

Noel Edmonds hosts a one-off live 90-minute entertainment special designed to inspire, encourage and empower every viewer to make an immediate and enduring contribution to life in Britain. Noel’s HQ, Sunday 14 September at 7.00pm on Sky1 and Sky1 HD.

Noel’s HQ is a response to the growing frustration being felt by millions who see their nation changing for the worse and their communities – and therefore lives – changing forever. Everyday random acts of kindness are few and far between. Noel’s HQ aims to prove that a sense of community and generosity are not dead, and will address some of the burning issues facing society today. Noel Edmonds comments: “Millions of us are now deeply unsettled, hugely frustrated and frequently frightened by the disturbing changes that are occurring in the heart of our communities and throughout our once great nation. This show on its own cannot hope to solve all the problems, but we can attempt to inspire, encourage and empower those who really do wish to create a more caring society.” Read more & comment »

NOEL EDMONDS TO FIX ‘BROKEN BRITAIN’ IN NOEL’S HQ

Richard Woolfe, Director of Programming, Sky One, Two and Three today (Wednesday 2 July, 2008) announced a brand new live entertainment special Noel’s HQ (working title) from TwoFour for broadcast in the autumn on Sky One and Sky One HD. The special was commissioned by Donna Taberer, Commissioning Editor, Entertainment, Sky One, Two and Three.

Noel’s HQ combines feel-good and doing good. Every day random acts of kindness are few and far between. What did you do for someone else today? A spontaneous act of generosity on your behalf, perhaps? We aim to prove to everyone that a sense of community and generosity is not dead. For the first time ever on British television, members of the public across the UK will be rewarded in life changing ways for the acts of generosity they perform. The stories featured on the programme will be rewarded at NHQ with gifts of real significance – gifts that will impact on entire communities, create lasting change and genuinely influence the direction of people’s lives forever.
